It is my honest opinion that these are vicious, incompetent and awful people. Their only strategy is violence and scorched earth. You'd better hope they win because otherwise they leave a trail of destruction in their wake.

As parents of a 37 year old man with Cerebral Palsy and the autistic condition Aspergers Syndrome we sought advice from Martin Searle & Co and were directed to Paula Jones. It is true to say that we were somewhat desperate at the time. We had a situation where our son was in a residential placement where there had been a safeguarding issue and where we felt strongly that that placement was no longer fit for purpose or suitable for our son and we wanted to move him to another placement which we had located and which we felt was much more suitable. Regrettably we had been facing what we considered to be unacceptable delays and obstruction from the local funding authority.

We met with Paula Jones who was immediately sympathetic to our position. She advised immediately on a proposed course of action and was very thorough in requiring us to provide all necessary information to her to enable her to assess the position. Thereafter Paula sent a letter to Social Services. This produced an immediate and beneficial effect because the matter was then passed to a principal Solicitor representing the Council.

The Council's position initially was that they wished our son to look at alternatives to the accommodation that we had proposed. This led to further correspondence between Paula and the Council's Solicitor and there was going to be a virtual meeting to discuss the matter fully. However, at the last minute the Council conceded the point with the result that our son is now in the placement that we had proposed.

We will always be extremely grateful to Paula for the calm and thorough way that she dealt with our concerns and we cannot recommend her highly enough. She made the difference here and without her intervention we believe that our son would not now be in his new placement which is already resulting in beneficial effects for him in terms of his physical and mental health.
