We couldn't have asked for a better solicitor! Charlie was our solicitor for the purchase of our first home. Although it was overall a very lengthy and painful process due to the incompetence of not 1 but 3 of the vendor's solicitors, Charlie helped us to go through it all. She was extremely diligent and thorough in her approach. There were instances that the vendor's solicitors were trying to cut corners and push us into the exchange (which they had postponed for 9 months already) before important points had been resolved. However, Charlie did not allow this to happen and made sure that everything was done correctly and that we were not put into a vulnerable position. Lastly, her communication and responsiveness with all the involved parties (us, vendor's solicitor, mortgage broker, property agency) was great and on a more personal level she was friendly and polite.

Last year - My husband had dealings with Erica Stock, at first things seemed okay but she dragged her heels with the lease extension of the property which never got completed in time (poor communication, never got an update on the lease extension and failed to inform on the progress and till this date still have no idea) YET she has the cheek to demand for money for her incompetency is a joke). DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE due to Non responsive service - does not return your calls or emails. over priced!

Waste of money! Very very slow and did not complete her task! Useless and why should we pay for a service that never got completed! There are far better solicitors out there to use who will do a better job.

I was so impressed with ODT Solicitors from start to finish when we purchased a property last week. It was just before the Stamp Duty deadline and our mortgage offer didn't come out until very late. However, ODT went above and beyond to make sure we completed in time. They gave decent advice; were very approachable and extremely efficient. We have used many different solicitors in the past and it was refreshing to have a solicitor that answered the phone and fully represented our best interests. Excellent, diligent service from Paul Barnes and team - who handled both a lease extension as well as a negligence claim (against another law firm) for me at the same time, in the early part of 2020. All aspects were handled using a (very apparent) wealth of expertise and experience & in both aspects of my case, very favourable commercial outcomes were achieved thanks entirely to Paul's knowledge and straight forward approach. Wholeheartedly recommend ODT & Paul for any such aspects in the future.
