We have taken the necessary precautions to ensure that both staff and clients can work and visit our offices safely. While it remains our policy for client meetings to be held remotely where possible, in the event it is necessary to conduct them in person, they will be by appointment only with Reception Staff being advised when to expect visitors.

I've dealt with about 20 law firms over the years - mainly on property transactions - where time is often critical. I can't comment on Alan's technical skills as it's the simplest transaction I've ever done - and a month after detailed heads were signed, I've not seen a sentence of response to any issue. But it's by far the least responsive I've encountered.
To be specific: 14 days to produce first drafts is 2-3 times slower than I would expect. But 16 days and counting for responses to very simple amends is ridiculous and I've generally encountered 24-48 hour turnarounds (Even allowing for one sentence needing a response from their client's accountants - which took 8 days but needn't have delayed things). Communication has also been very poor. Most emails from my lawyer are completely ignored - without even a holding response.

Our original Solicitor retired and our wills were transferred to Tollers It seemed a good time to update them as the originals were close to 30 years old. Sharon Brown the solicitor spent time with us explaining ways we could enhance and more suitably tailor our wills in our changed circumstances. This was all done in about 10 days. Very satisfied with a friendly, knowledgeable and professional service.
