Used Franklins to sell two properties including a part exchange, What started off good soon turned into a shambles. I was advised by franklins that I needed to get a certain deed from a management company to sell the property, I struggled for weeks on end and all franklins could muster up was an email, in the end I had to go through my estate agents to help chase this up.

In the end I had to drive around to get this deed myself and then deliver it to franklins to get signed. I told franklins that my management company owed me money, however franklins took this from what was owed to me, it then took weeks and a number of emails to be told I will have to chase the management company myself to get this back (shocking) endless documents were sent on wrong forms.

On the part exchange the updates we got were from the site office. Franklins never informed us our new build was delayed. Once completion got nearer we was again chasing to get our statement to pay our deposit. They waited until 5pm the day before to tell us they don't know what we owe on the mortgage, will have to work it out manually and then settle it once we complete (shocking) we was waiting until 8pm that night until it arrived. Barclays has limits on what could be sent daily so we had to set our alarm at midnight to send the rest across On the day of completion once everything was loaded onto the vans franklins informed us we no longer had a mortgage offer, no explanation we'd have to take it up with the broker.

I drove down to the office to be told by a very condescending lady I couldn't see my solicitor without an appointment (so she expected me to foresee this, or expected me to camp out in the road) only after saying I want to complain would I see the solicitor, to find out it's a different lady than the one I started with as she had left the business Over charged around 1500 on completion but couldn't do anything about it due to short notice, was assured this would be sent over via fast transfer and would take a couple of days to come. nothing for two weeks had to speak to the practise manager who then managed to sort this for me.

Took close to 1 full year to get a property through sale process, made numerous blunders, poor communication, cost me thousands. Very disorganised Considering taking legal action against Franklin's based on their poor performance to recoup the financial. Loss I have faced due to their "POOR PERFORMANCE". FRANKLIN'S NORTHAMPTON. YOUR TEAM NEEDS AN OVERHAUL. VERY VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING

Unfortunately we had no choice but to hire Franklins as our conveyancers as they were advised to us by our developers and no other Conveyancing firm worth their salt had availability to take our case due to high case load from the stamp duty holiday. Franklins have been incredibly frustrating to work with from the get go. We went through 3 months worth of the most arduous and painful anti-money laundering checks (which went far beyond all reason, with no common sense applied) - they actually went further than what The Law Society deems necessary in their guidance of how the rules should be applied.

They have been slow to respond to urgent emails and phone calls (in some cases we have had to send 2-3 emails and multiple phone calls to finally receive a lacklustre response). I haven't actually had contact from our solicitor for many months, instead she seems to just leave all her work to junior paralegals and/or admin staff. I knew we might encounter some drawbacks from using the firm recommended to us by our developer but never did I envision such an incredibly poor service. I never write reviews but I felt compelled to after my experience. Avoid at all costs if you wish to save yourself months of headache and chasing for a response.

Very disappointed. My first buyers fell through. Franklins did very little unless I specifically asked them to. I constantly had to keep them informed of what was going on in the chain, when I thought it should be the other way round. Thankfully my estate agents found another buyer quickly and tirelessly pushed it through, but it really felt like my solicitor couldn't be bothered.

She went on holiday at the busiest time, two weeks before we were due to complete. She seems to let her team do all the work, who were very sweet but didn't really know what was going on. When I did actually mange to speak to her she was extremely rude. She actually let it slip that she was listening to my telephone conversation with her assistant but clearly couldn't actually be bothered to speak to me herself. When we did manage to complete she acted like she deserved a medal, not like she'd just done the job I'd paid her to do. Very unprofessional.

We have used the team at Franklin's to sell our two homes and purchase our new home. We have been dealing with Lauren Collins and Kris Raca. Most of our contact has been with Lauren and she is AMAZING! They are the most knowledgeable, understanding and supportive solicitors we have ever used. The team work tirelessly on your behalf and keep you so well informed.

They were really supportive when we had difficulties in the process and brought the human understanding to the proceeding as lets face it moving house is stressful. I couldn't thank the team more. They are fantastic value for money and have ultimately got us our dream home in time for the stamp duty window during a pandemic! I have previously used other solicitors who have been know where near the standard of Franklin's and we actually paid the others more. In future we will always come back to Franklin's.

Really impressed with Hannah driver and her team when buying my house. Just got sent a letter months after completing giving me a 6 refund on some fees, they could easily have just pocketed this but gave it back to me instead, amazing. Cheers guys.
