The firm was founded in 1990 by three partners, including our current senior partner, Verity Stauffer. She and her co-founders wanted to offer City-quality legal services to Clients in and around Farnborough. We've chosen to remain a small firm: six partners, fourteen lawyers and a total staff of fifty.
Clive is a Consultant; he qualified as a Solicitor in 1968 and has always specialised in family law. He is the Head of our Family Law Department and has a particular interest in difficult or complex financial disputes, and property disputes between unmarried couples. Jon qualified and practised as a Barrister and Solicitor in his native New Zealand, before moving to the UK in 2010, where he has specialised in family law.

Perhaps, even, all of the above. Every case is different. Some clients need us to fight forensically on the financial front, some cases need great sensitivity and emotional intelligence; a few simply require a light touch to assist an amicable divorce. We do not do Legal Aid, and we may not be the cheapest (but we are far from the most expensive).

Cannot thank the team at Woodford Stauffer enough for all they have done for us. They have seen us through two house sells and a purchase over the past year. They know what needs to be done and help you the whole way. Buying and selling a house in this country is a crazy experience but knowing you have good solicitors on your side makes all the difference. Highly recommend!

In short, if your looking for someone to get the job done to perfection look no further. A truly awful company. We're assisting an elderly lady in the purchase of a retirement flat and have the misfortune of the vendor using these clowns. Utterly useless all the way through and now experiencing further delays due to their inability to request and source even the most basic of information. The estate agent for the sale confirms they are the worst solicitors his agency have ever come across. The solicitor being used is Francesca Duff within Jane Gray's team. Avoid this firm like the plague!

We recently bought our first home, not knowing to much about any of the processes. Nimmi baines was our conveyancer, who was extremely helpful and thorough with everything she carried out, making the process very quick whilst also ensuring we were covered with all aspects. She covered us with all legal aspects, ensuring our leasehold contracts were fair by making the sellers solicitor make amendments to any points she thought could affect us in the future. Would definitely recommend and will use these again in the future.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Jennifer at WS for my latest sale and purchase. I must admit I was rather nervous to start as my last experience with another firm purchasing a property some years ago wasn't great. I highly recommend Jon Beck from Woodford Stauffer Solicitors. He dealt with all aspects of my divorce case covering custody of my awesome boys, to what should happen with the family home. From a father's perspective, you read the horror stories of the ex-wife getting everything, and according to the first 2 solicitors I interviewed, they do! This is not so.
