During our chain free purchase, we found Charlotte extremely difficult to contact throughout. Emails went unanswered for up to week and phone lines consistently rang out and then cut off. Charlotte approved our proof of funds and then the following week, on the projected afternoon of completion, she requested lots more financial information from us, apparently at the request of her manager.

This delayed completion. Charlotte didn't check that we had buildings insurance in place prior to completion, which was a legal requirement of our mortgage. Generally, I have a lot on concerns about the quality of the work Charlotte carried out, she was anything but transparent and I would not work with her again.

Earlier in the year, we were faced with what initially seemed like a straight forward process. However as things progressed and other events happened, this straight forward process became more complicated. Lawson West solicitors were incredibly helpful throughout the whole process of both gaining probate for two people and also in house conveyance.

Yes they have a cost, but for us it was worth every penny to know that things were being dealt with swiftly, professionally and courteously as well. Advice was given when asked, and nothing was too much for them. Would highly recommend and would be my first port of call for any future needs.

I can only speak for my own experience with the market harborough branch, however I found the experience of dealing with them frustrating in the extreme. Only one solicitor was ever available to deal with my issues and they were frequently on annual leave, including around two key points in my divorce process. All documentation was sent to their PA to be typed up and yet I frequently had to correct spelling and grammar.

A simple back and forth would take over a month to process. Finally, one point in the hearing hinged on the fact that my ex-wife was a shareholder but not a director. Despite having sent letters to the other side stating this, they managed to get confused about this point in a hearing, referring to my ex-wife as a director no less than three times, twice after I had pointed out their error.

I resent someone charging me several hundred pounds for stating something that is a matter of record that they are then incapable of keeping straight when it matters most. I would conduct your own research prior to engaging with this firm. When I had to speak to the solicitor's manager to complain about this they didn't even bother getting back to me, as they too were on leave at that point.

Lawson-West took on my case last minute when I was let down by another firm. Very quick to respond and ensured that there was no delay by the change in firms. Easy to communicate with and explained everything that was going on as it happened
