Never use they thrive on corruption and that is the staple in family court with hold & co.

Holden & Co. represented the sellers of a house that I recently purchased. The sellers clearly hadn't set up a mail redirect, because I continued to receive post for them, but I remembered being advised to pass on any mail to their solicitors for redirection. When I took the letters to Holden's offices, I spoke (presumably) with one of the Partners or Solicitors over the intercom.

As I was starting to explain, he interrupted me saying "No, that certainly would not be the agreement." When I tried to say that I had it in writing, he said "No, you're wrong", and hung up. I've since found the relevant email which clearly states '.can I request that if you receive any mail for the previous owners, you forward it to their Solicitors for redirection.' Whilst I haven't experienced being a client of Holden & Co., this brief exchange with such a patronising, rude and supercilious man has shaped my opinion of a practice that I'll never use or recommend. It's also resulted in the previous homeowners failing to receive a significant amount of their mail.

Doesn't even deserve a star but unfortunately have to put at least one in order to review. If you want to lose then this is the place you want to go, otherwise you would be better off representing yourself, even if you manage to only do the basic amount of work needed, it'll be a hell of a lot more than Mr Holden bothers to do for you. Extremely rude and dismissive too: sometimes you get a very small choice of who can take on your case but given the opportunity I would take my chances and do it myself. look at other reviews and steer clear. I hope he gets called out on his poor level of service

Cant thank this firm and mr lawless enough for helping me and my children applications were made swiftly for me and they instructed and amazing consuel to represent me i never thought i would find a solicator firm that could fight my case aswell as they have and thanks to mr lawless and the counsel they arranged for me i now have my children in my care and safe from harm from the bottom off my heart i want to thank yous and charlie and team that took my calls and reassured me and for listening to me rambling on when i was distressed honestly thank yous so much

Very good. Dealt with a complex case, helped me get a very good result for me and my children.

The rudest firm I have ever come across. The Manager had no idea what he was talking about, rolled his eyes and even refused to answer phone call for discussion. Unprofessional please avoid!

The original phone call I had with Kirsty was fine, told me to get my details sent across to her which I did. I paid for a letter etc and got them emailed over. I was told that I had an appointment two weeks later which I waited for, she never called. I sent emails and called several times after this and I was ignored. When I did get through I was hung up on about 3 times.

I was told to call back at a specific time which I did only to be told that I had not got the correct information (which I wasn't told about) and spoken to like absolute dirt. She told me she didn't want to work with me she is too busy. I've now wasted 3 weeks and back to square one. Avoid this company at all costs especially if you require legal aid! Disgusting vile woman, very surprised she is still in employment.

Shame you have to give 1 star as I definitely wouldn't if i had the choice. My review pretty much echos everyone else's. Take on jobs then say they are 'too busy' to deal with them properly. Dont respond to emails, however important they are, dont seem to care AT ALL about winning a case only in the money they will earn. If only the numerous bad reviews had been seen before instructing them. Hopefully people see this one in future and choose someone else.anyone else.even if they are not qualified I would recommend them over this company

Just interested in taking your money. The "solicitor " that dealt with my case had absolutely no interest in reading any of the case files and seemed too busy with other matters. Her apathy towards the case was staggering. Wasted 3 weeks coming up to a final hearing for a family matter. Wished I had read the reviews first. Do not use these clowns.

Both the senior partner and the woman are arrogant and condescending. On raising my concerns with this female "solicitor" she blew a gasket and offered my money back. It seemed obvious that she didn't like clients answering her back. Read all the reviews and get yourself a real solicitors firm. Disgraceful. On the plus side the receptionist was excellent and so was Mike Jolly.

When the firm was not busy can get a phone call to advice before booking an appointment. When busy they ram it down your throat and won't help at all no phone call no time. Another point DO NOT call the secretary ( by accident ) a receptionist as she will become very rude instantly even when apologised. The conversation went down hill from then, didn't want to help and more busy explaining that she had 40 years experience as a secretary more than to help with my situation. Avoid at all cost like mentioned above.
