I want to give a nil star rating because of Stephens and Son's incompetence, negligence and unprofessional behaviour that spanned over fourteen months, bringing untold distress upon the family. I won't name the individual that was mainly at fault, as I feel this person is representative of the whole company. When a complaint was raised by following the correct procedures laid down by Stephens and Son, it was not even dealt with according to their own complaints procedure and was handled in an even more unprofessional manner.
When finally the estate accounts were sent to my solicitor, such were their concerns over the management of the estate, that I am now taking my complaint direct to the legal ombudsman, something I should have done last year.

We were kept informed all through the process and had telephone conversations with our solicitor who always took.the time to explain each step. It was the second time we used Hatten Wyatt as they dealt with our dad's will as well. Considering we have had to do all this through covid and partly through a lockdown, the service and help we were given was brilliant.

I recently used Hatten Wyatt for the sale of a property. The sale was more complex than expected as some of the land with the house wasn't registered and some was registered as agricultural. It was also a probate property. Despite this and being in lockdown Abraham Khan and his assistant Deborah managed to get the sale through quickly and efficiently. Abraham guided and supported the process keeping everything on track. I would highly recommend them for conveyancing and was thankful we engaged HW and had Abraham to support us.
