Our firm dates back to 1920 when it was established under the name of A.A. Lewis. It now practices as Foskett Marr Gadsby & Head LLP from offices in Epping and Loughton in Essex. Thank you very much for all your help through this process, despite it being extended due to factors out of our control. Kudos to you for your professionalism and patience.
You were always thinking one step ahead to solve for issues that might arise down the line e.g. Really explained everything in great detail; full follow through to cover all aspects and points.

It's clear to me that unless the estate is one of value, then FMGH simply aren't interested. FMGH picked up our estranged father's "estate" when it was clear that he didn't leave a will. As it transpires, the estate was of little value and FMGH put the minimum amount of effort in to handling it on-time and accurately. This can be explained through the bill itself, where it the cost was estimated to be between 925 and 1,480 + VAT.
Despite the case not being in any way complex or vast, the final bill was provided at 4,000 + VAT without prior notification. In fact, the initial estimate had already been exceeded by the time we were contacted. However the real kicker is that three years on, it transpired they failed to do the diligence required to find the presence of a living spouse and we were therefore liable to pay it back, despite the fact that it takes 5 minutes for a layman to find the presence of a marriage via third party sources.
As a result of this oversight, we were invited for a meeting with our Solicitor and a Litigator whose sole interest was in protecting the firm, being condescending, unhelpful, belligerent and arrogant. It was clear that he wanted us gone and entirely refused to help people in distress - ultimately "it's your problem". We thankfully don't have a huge amount of experience in handling legal matters - but if FMGH are indicative of the industry at large then we are left with zero trust in the system, or the level of care that should be a pre-requisite, especially in delicate, emotional cases.
The reality is they don't care. Maybe they do for those that are going to secure them a big bill at the end of a piece of work, but for us, they couldn't have cared less as we're still having to untangle a mess at our own expense that they created. FMGH; if you're choosing to read this - and I see no reason why you would - then rest assured that we will be referring this case to the Ombudsman for their opinion on your conduct and lack of professionalism.

Fantastic experience with Foskett Marr. As a first time buyer Dorothy and her team went above and beyond In delivering a personal and prompt service. Each email sent was replied to quickly and with minimal fuss. Had a very short timeframe in which to complete and Foskett Marr made the process so efficient and hassle free. Thank you very much to all of the professional people working here, especially Dorothy Purday and all of her team. Would definitely reccomend them for all your conveyancing needs.

We had an extremely difficult time selling our house but Foskett Marr were absolutely fantastic, they spent the time to explain things to us properly and to understand the challenges that we were facing in our sale. They drove everything forwards, if we had gone with a less high quality solicitors there's no way we would have exchanged and moved when we did. Can't thank Bob Sharp and Grace Brown enough.

We are very often involved in chains where Fosketts are found - either acting for our sellers or buyers, or even up or down the chain - and find them to be a pleasure to deal with. They provide a fantastic speedy service and always happy to help. We highly regularly recommend them to our sellers and buyers.

Foskett Marr Gadsby & Head have acted for our company across a broad spectrum of legal aspects and the services provided have been first-class in every respect. We have no hesitation in recommending the professional, diligent and friendly team, especially the conveyance team whom we work with on a regular basis, Bob Sharp and Grace Brown. They always go above and beyond what is required.

AWFUL This firm of solicitors seem to think its OK threatening a creditor on behalf of a debtor. They sent me a letter which clearly goes against what the law and regulations say in regard to the matter we were dealing with. I asked them to stop contacting me as they were threatening action that they knew couldn't go anywhere and was nothing more than a thinly veiled threat on behalf of their client.
They said that there was a high chance their client would succeed, which is in fact completely and utterly wrong(as stated by the relevant court, in writing). They also threatened me with incurring their clients legal costs should I not bow to their commands. Solicitors or bailiffs?(I'm the creditor, by the way). They refused to comply with my request.
This firm is morally corrupt and will do or say anything to make money from their clients. Advice; Be honest with your clients and tell them when they have no chance of success. Do not harass creditors on behalf of debtors, it's completely and utterly deplorable.
