Kay Boswell qualified in 1982. She is the founder of the firm, which was established as a general practice in 1989, Kay having experience of different types of law including Family, Conveyancing, Crime and Wills. Where do I start? I have used this companies conveyancing services a few times, the first being fairly satisfactory. However, I can only describe the service received after this as little short of a bismal. The whole experience from communication to initiative was none existant. I would wait weeks for small doses of information and even then I would have to call in to obtain this.
When making contact with the office, there was little enthusiasm from the staff and at times I thought I was connected to a funeral directors. I had no choice but to outlay an additional 100 during the third time of using Kay Boswell as land registry documention organised by Peter Lothian, conveyancer, was sent to an incorrect address not known to myself adding on many months of awaiting replacement documentation.
They are slow, unfriendly and not particularly professional. They are cheap to use which is shown in the service, as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. My advice avoid and pay extra for a decent law firm.

Just completed on a leasehold sale and purchase of a new build property, and K. Boswell Solicitors have been brilliant! Now in the process of using K Boswell (specifically Mr Lothian) for a third time for conveyancing. They came recommended originally, and we have since recommended Peter to everyone we know, many of whom have used them. Absolutely top notch - Peter is so responsive, thorough and friendly. Even today on a small issue we were put straight through to speak to Peter who took the time to go through in detail. Would not hesitate to recommend. A very professional service provided by Peter Lowthian, the solicitor responsible for handling the selling of a house and the purchase of a new property. I was very happy with the conveyancing work carried out. Mr Lowthian was very helpful and friendly. If he wasn't available when I called he would ring back or reply in an email at the earliest opportunity. I rang a number of local solicitors before choosing K Boswell and Co. No other firm came close with the price. I can highly recommend.
