I recently used CGM for my house purchase and sale and they were great. I was hoping they would be able to assist with an additional land purchase and I called 3 times over 3 weeks and sent an enquiry through on their website to try and obtain a quote. However I was left very disappointed that no one called me back or tried contacting me by email. I phoned another unrelated solicitor yesterday and they promptly gave me a great quote and are already starting the process of my land purchase today.

Kate was lovely - had a mare when it came to a mortgage extension and although I couldn't get the extension, Kate called me and talked me through her own experience and reassured me that we could get my deposit back. We did in fact get my deposit back and although it was unfortunate that I couldn't proceed with a buy, she cared and looked after my financial situation. The service was amazing - it was friendly and kind not just transactional.

My partner and I went through hell and back when selling our flat and purchasing our house. It was bound to be a nightmare because our flat was shared equity. That said, Lee and Carol from CGM were outstanding. They messaged me pretty much daily to give me updates, they chased the entire chain when needed, and they understood the sheer stress this process causes.

It's their empathetic way of dealing with their clients that makes CGM stand out. It's very client-focused. Despite the chain taking 8 months to reach completion, I can honestly say that Lee and Carol did everything in their power to get us to the finish line. As soon as they had an update, I was told within minutes. I can't recommend CGM highly enough. And, of course, if you're lucky enough for Lee + Carol to take on your case, you should know that they're going to make this process as easy for you as possible. A massive thank you to the whole team, (specifically Lee and Carol), for their dedication, hard work and persistence.

Worst experience possible. Michala Smith is extremely rude and refused to communicate with other solicitors and estate agents. She was so aggressive to her own clients they were scared to call her and ask for updates on their purchase. Her incompetentcy to perform basic tasks timely added weeks onto our exchange unessessarily. I would not recommend CGM to anyone! There's plenty of other solicitors look elsewhere.

I have just purchased my first home and used CGM as my solicitors. They have been absolutely amazing! Constantly updating me with the process and I haven't had to nag once! I have been speaking with Lee throughout my buying process and he has always been on top form! Highly recommend, had all of the searches back within a month! Will 100% use again.

I used Naomi @ Totton (2018) and have had dealings professionally with both Naomi & Jen and both are a credit to the company, always made themselves available and considering they are involved in one of the most stressful things people can do (move home) they did a good job and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Absolutely appalling. I wouldn't even rate one star of Google allowed it. Had to approach the legal obudsman to complain about the lack of communication and failings of CGM providing below standard service. The ombudsman awarded me compensation to which CGM failed to pay!. yes, they even ignored the ombudsmans decision to pay compensation. Had to inform the ombudsman that they have failed to comply with the decision and it was only when they were reissued the instruction/reminder that they must pay or be reported for misconduct that they finally sent a cheque.

Absolutely appalling solicitors. Avoid!. There are plenty of choices of solicitors in the Southampton area who can provide a satisfactory services and actually communicate with it's customers and not just ignore emails and hand delivered correspondence, CGM do not fall into this category. Shame on you CGM!
