Hewitt & Gilpin are active in the field of employment law. We have considerable experience in appearing at the Industrial Tribunal and, where appropriate, the High Court on behalf of both employers and employees. Our commercial practice also means that we have substantial experience in dealing with transfer of undertakings or 'TUPE' Regulations - a prerequisite in handling mergers and acquisitions work as well as dealing with claims arising from industrial accidents.Our team of Employment Solicitors therefore work closely with our Business Services team so that we can provide our clients with a composite service.

We have an active presence across all courts both in Belfast and throughout Northern Ireland and recently represented a client in a matter brought before the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom. We are mindful of the fact that litigation can be a stressful and often daunting experience for clients and increasingly we have had success in resolving disputes in a timely manner before litigation has commenced through the Law Society Mediation Scheme.
