This firm and Faye is waste of space. I have no idea how this firm is still in business, faye Judkins wasted 2 months of ours in the process of buying our first home. I got them through Sam Conveyancing and the time I instructed them was the time our excitement of buying the first home turn into nightmare. I received no communication whatsoever despite sending them numerous emails asking what is happening but no reply.

Whenever you call the solicitor she never comes on the phone. 2 months past in this nightmare I had to cancel them and the day I cancelled them turn out nothing was done at all apart from getting our ids and filling some initial forms from us. Please do yourself a favour and never hire them for your conveyancer. This firm needs to shut down.

Please do not use this firm for conveyancing. They keep you completely in the dark and are very slow. I instructed them for my sale/purchase in September, and was told mid December they were almost ready to exchange. Now I've been told we are not even ready by the 28th of January, without any explanation why. I also have no idea what tasks are still outstanding, and am having to resend documents without explanation. Searches on both sides had come back quickly without great surprises/ issues, yet they waited nearly 2 months to raise enquiries.

I do not know why. The chain I am in has already nearly collapsed once due to this firm's false statements and slow responses. The newest delay will now cause the party at the top of the chain to lose their mortgage offer, so the chain is still not safe. Because of this I am now in the position where I am now researching options to change firms in the hope that I can still salvage this.

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness Failed to inform my solicitor that their client had withdrawn from the purchase of my property weeks ago. Only just found out after chasing, spending weeks with the property off the market thinking the purchase was still going ahead. Didn't even apologise. Unprofessional

Critical: Professionalism Generally good and professional service provided in the Wills and Probate area from 2016 and more recently in 2021. But stay away from conveyancing, that was a terrible experience in 2020.

Hey all! Listen! If you are reading my review now, i would just advice you to forget about reading other comments and looking for different conveyancing solicitor just stop it. Lay back, close your eyes and say that's it! You have really found the right solicitor firm and just call them to give them permission to start your work! I just got my keys today and everything was so smooth.

They have done everything as they promised me in the beginning. No time wasting all was fast and communication was great. Would like to thank my solicitor Aminder and her assistants Jess and Lisa for their great service and communication.

Absolutely brilliant! Very responsive and easy to deal with. Aminder and Jess worked very hard to meet my deadline. Would highly recommend and will use them again.

Very rude and have no respect for the loss of my mother. Not once have they offered their condolences and instead they have sent me upsetting emails.

Disgustingly incompetent company which deserves to be struck off! Kirsten Macdonald filed my stamp duty return incorrectly and misadvised me on the amount of stamp duty due. The Completion Department then failed to lodge the sale with Land Registry. The whole affair has been a complete mess. Its almost 2 years later Im still suffering as a result.

When I tried to lodge a formal complaint I was threatened with costs for the work they didnt do in the first place. This has cost me a lot of time, money and major headaches. For your own sake please STAY AWAY!

Avoid avoid avoid. Awful solicitors, rude and failed to answer enquiries for over 6 weeks nearly costing me my purchase. Only went through in the end with help from my estate agent. Cannot express how awful rude Susan was for no reason.

Used them for conveyancing. Kirstin McDonald is the worst conveyancer you can hope for. Terrible communication, terrible service on charged extra once the work started saying they misquoted. Tried to complain, some team leader lady gave me a lecture and didn't let me formally complain either. Just terrible!

We've recently bought a share of a flat, and we did receive several letters from the HMRC letting us know that our stamp duty was not payed. After more than 4 months of dealing with long email chains with the solicitors and endless calls with the HMRC, they claim they have solved the problem. Yet I still don't have a written confirmation from the HMRC that they have paid my stamp duty.

I'm now claiming for a refund due to their negligent service but I have to go through an endless complaint procedure in order to do so. I would seriously consider any other solicitor service before Chadwick Lawrence. This is one of those cases where Reviews are actually true!
