Moving house can be a stressful time. Our aim is to reduce the stress and provide reassurance to our clients that all the detailed legal hurdles will be overcome. Our conveyancing team led by Tamsin Braithwaite has considerable legal experience in buying, selling, transferring and property re-mortgage.
Richard Evans is the head of the family department. He has specialised in family law for over 30 years, accumulating a wealth of knowledge and experience from the numerous matters and situations that he has dealt with during that period of time. Richard uses his wide experience to provide a professional, sensitive and constructive approach to the matters he deals with.
Motoring offences which are summary only road traffic offences dealt with at a single court hearing. We are happy to discuss our costs in more detail with you before undertaking work on your behalf in order that we may provide you with information that is as accurate as possible. VAT will be charged on our services and disbursements at the rate of 20% unless we advise you otherwise.
Legal advice like anything else you buy costs money, but the value of that advice to you can be enormous. Charges vary depending on the expertise and experience of the fee earner as well as how complicated the work is. We will always give you a cost estimate in writing at the outset of a matter. If an hourly rate is quoted, we are able to agree a fixed spending limit and to contact you when this is reached to obtain your agreement if you wish to continue.We aim to be realistic.

Not even worth the one star! What an absolute incompatant solicitor Edward gaynor smith is.cancels a very important meeting 20 minutes before the actual meeting.was asked for another time to be arranged through his secretary and heard nothing back for a week so I then called 3 more times for a possible call back from Edward to rearrange the meeting was promised a call back from the secretary and didn't receive a call back!
A whole month wasted of very important time! Called another solicitor who gave me a date and stuck to it with so much support. Stay clear of this solicitors complete waste of time!

A real shame! All was going so well with my conveyancing at GSO Law. I was, for the most part, very impressed by the efficiency and professionalism of my conveyancing solicitor. However, very near to the end my solicitor left at completion stage and since then it has become a nightmare to conclude my conveyancing. Mistakes made, and disorganised. No response to emails. Repeatedly fobbed off over the phone. Still waiting after three months. I would have given 5 stars if they hadn't messed up so badly at the end. The saga continues.

Called Edward off the advice of the CAB and was told to contact the CAB. When I advised the CAB had said I now needed legal representation I was told "well, we've got too much work on". That was it. No SLA. No alternative. No help at all. As a family we have used them several times in the past, off my recommendation. Never again. Very disheartened by the experience.
