Vanderpump & Sykes Solicitors

Just bought a house in Essex using Vanderpump and Sykes as our solicitors. From our first viewing of the house to completion took 12 weeks. We were first time buyers and so had no idea what we needed to do, but with Natalie Amir and her extremely efficient team, we were guided through the process with relatively little stress. They were friendly and approachable on the phone. I feel the costs were reasonable and would definitely recommend their services to friends and family.

Poor service. they drew up a contract for me a couple of years ago. I called recently to discuss the contract and they refuse to deal with it. not to mention the amount of calls it took to get through to someone, even though I was told 3 times I would get a call back.

Critical: Quality My Aunt passed away in April 2020. 18 months later, with the 3rd solicitor in the company, we are still waiting for the probate to be completed. My father, at 89, is one of the executors of the will and this lack of action is causing him great distress.

Excellent Service for Conveyancing We are moving for the first time in over 30 years so it is quite an undertaking for us. It is with regret that I feel compelled to write this review but I have never had an experience this poor with a 'professional' firm, and want to give ample warning to anyone that thinks about using them. As others have mentioned, they are good at marketing and writing their own reviews on numerous sites. Avoid this firm at all costs, they run an operation of daylight robbery.

They are unprofessional, slow, very unfriendly and very expensive. Their solicitors ended up arguing with us more than the opposition on our case. They do not care in the slightest, they are only after your money. Even if their hourly fees seem fair, they will inflate the amount of work they've done to ensure their pockets are lucratively lined. I won't name names but we used most of their family division because their solicitors are often on holiday or busy so we were bounced around the entire department, senior or junior, and you will end up paying fees for each of them to get up to speed with your case.

This would've been okay if the legal advice / execution was strong but they did nothing I couldn't have done myself and the only impact they had was prolonging and over-complicating my case with numerous errors. Regrettably, their lack of compassion, legal mediocrity and money-minded nature means I can only recommend you stay well away from the scam that is Vanderpump & Sykes.

I recently visited Vanderpump and Sykes to update my will and to set up power of attorney. The service I received was both efficient and friendly. The advice given was extremely thorough and I felt completely confident that all my wishes were respected and my needs met.
