Excellent service, despite the incompetence of another company in the chain. Would have liked communication lines to be more visible on the Portal which really was a waste of time and a little gimmicky as it only told you what you already knew! Therefore in my opinion the Portal requires a makeover.

What an excellent firm. We had one of those nightmare situations where our chain looked like it might collapse at the last minute but our associate, Anri, was persistent, professional and extremely competent. As I first time buyer I found the process extremely daunting. The mortage advisor and the estate agent were both brilliant, however, my experience with Risdon Hosegood was far from the same and made the process more stressful than necessary. I'm sure there are still things missing or haven't been completed but the constant lack of response has made me give up. Still after numerous times of asking, I've yet to hear about setting up a WILL which was a reccomondation from the solictor herself!

If I could award zero stars then I certainly would. This is without doubt the most abysmal solicitor I have had the misfortune of encountering. I feel so strongly about this company that I am writing this review as "the other side" of a conveyancing transaction. If they were my solicitor I would have dispatched of their services many months ago. They go radio silent whenever it suits them (basically all the time) including on the day of exchange!
I will be sharing my many complaints with the ombudsman as soon as this nightmare transaction is completed. If this ever happens of course! Please avoid this solicitor at all costs.

Risdon Hosegood have been our family solicitors for ages. They are friendly and helpful in addition to the normal professionalism one expects. I cannot commend them highly enough. They are large enough to have the expertise, but small enough to know their clients well. Their staff are knowledgeable and responsive. I didn't like the reorganisation of the offices, but there we go - progress and specialisation! I am obviously an old stick in the mud, which they are not!
