I deeply regret ever going to this firm. I honestly believe that they handled my case very badly and completely let me down when I needed them most, whilst at the same time charging me a very large sum of money. These were my vendors solicitors, awful service from them. They were neglectful, poor to respond and did not respond at all for some months to my solicitor. My dream home nearly fell through, as time ticked on, and we were extremely close to my mortgage offer expiring. I was a first time buyer and there was no onward chain so my purchase did not need to take the half a year as it did.

I do not recommend these solicitors, and thought it worth leaving a bad and honest review, as some new home owners next to me had these solicitors and had an awful experience with them too. People need to know what they're letting themselves in for if they go with these solicitors.

Were entrusted with our late Father's will, and assisted us on his passing to obtain grant of probate. Have been a great help during these difficult months. We could not have coped without their much valued assistance. Very professional and responsive. I would not hesitate in calling on their services once more. Thanks for all your help.

My Case was transferred to the Yeovil office from the Sherborne Office My file didn't get sent to the Yeovil office for a Month after Sherborne Office had stopped working on it Took Months longer to complete than it should have I phoned up multiple times only to be told by Zara there was more important clients to deal with When I finally went into sign, staff were unprofessional and rude Almost a year later it's now come to light they were also negligent with their work, which is now costing me thousands in solicitors fees to put right and could have potentially cost me almost 90k and left a building plot undevelopable I am making a complaint against Porter Dodson but at the moment they are not taking any responsibility I have now sent them evidence of their negligence and am waiting for a response

Telephone calls are answered promptly, in comparison to others that I contacted with my initial enquiry, and complete attention has been provided by the reception staff. The service provided by the solicitor that I dealt with was prompt and informative and my matter was resolved satisfactorily in a short space of time. I will certainly recommend and use this firm again in the future.

Terrible service, with what felt like incompetent staff not very skilled at their roles. The estate agents involved in this house sale and purchase were far more supportive, dynamic and proactive. I would avoid using this firm for property conveyancing AT ALL COSTS.

Only had a fleeting dealing with this company. They took 30 hours, two phone calls and two e-mails to respond and were rude and condescending. My mother lodged her will with these people and it seems that they have obtained their fees and now could not care less.

Used these recently for an employment issue, and previously for buying a house. Quick, quality work. Upfront with fees. Didn't have to chase them up or quibble over anything. Very good company.
