Cleggs Solicitors is a well-known and respected name in Nottingham, having been established in 1969. Over the years we have evolved from a general practice with city centre offices to its current and more specialised focus, operating from purpose-built office premises near the A52 giving easy access from all sides of the City and its surrounding areas.
Having joined the firm in 1994 he has nearly thirty years experience in wills, trust and probate, and higher value residential property matters, both locally and across the country. With more than 15 years' experience, she specialises in commercial litigation and is also an accredited mediator. She was named in the Legal 500 in 2013.
Our PI department has the benefit of over 25 years' experience in all aspects of personal injury, employer's liability, road traffic and other accident/injury claims. Our Company wasted considerable time, effort and funds pursuing a claim with Else Solicitors, who we found to be borderline incompetent - sending templated documents, littered with errors - with their pre-action letter (750 + vat) even made out in the wrong name due to it being a copy / paste. Amongst a raft of issues we experienced, the advice was conflicting, they allowed deadlines to pass, and never even showed for one scheduled meeting - all without a single apology.
In the end we made a claim ourselves (no legal representation) and reached a quick settlement. Lisa from Cleggs helped us push this over the line in a super efficient, professional and friendly manner. A real breath of fresh air. Highly recommended.

I previously sold a Nottinghamshire property (I am based in Scotland) through another Nottingham based solicitor and it was a nightmare. I sold another Nottinghamshire property through Cleggs Solicitors and their handling of the sale was a breath of fresh air. Hayley dealt with the sale and from start to finish she was excellent - professional, helpful and with excellent communication skills.
We hit issues with the buyer's solicitor but it never felt like I was going to slip into another nightmare sale situation, thanks to Hayley and my estate agents. She is a credit to the firm and I would, without hesitation, recommend them to anyone selling or buying a property.

I have used Cleggs Solicitors many times and have always found them to be professional, efficient and helpful. I have bought four properties and sold two properties with them in the last ten years and have always been impressed with their services. Even during lockdown Mark Williams carried on and completed on a sale for me - the only delay was from the other side's solicitor.
Special thanks to him and Eleanor Partridge who have just completed on what was a very difficult purchase due to the sellers solicitor being so slow, awkward and amateurish. All solicitors are not the same - I have found Cleggs to be the best I have used and would recommend them without hesitation.

I wouldn't use this company again if you paid me. This company made endless mistakes. You'd think a solicitors company would get things right when dealing with large amounts of money, legal documents, and pay information. We had to send things back repeatedly due to inaccuracies. They were very poor on the communications and out of all parties involved were the slowest to get things done and the case closed. DO NOT USE.
