I instructed this company to undertake conveyancing on a BTL property. They under paid SDLT to HMRC, but took the correct amount from me. They spotted this error 12 months later and did not inform me. I received an interest tax demand from HMRC which when confronted with they said they knew nothing about. Only after months of further investigation with ourselves and HMRC did they finally admit the error. I would not recommend this company based on this experience.

This firm recently handled a case for me that was very distressing. Mr Jeremy Parker was an excellent source of advice even before they took my case on and provided reassurance and expert counsel throughout the entire process. He kept me appraised of the case as it developed and constantly offered his advice and guidance in order to reassure me about any concerns I had. I hope never to need their services for a matter like this again but if I do, I would definitely go back here.

I have been purchasing properties since 2003 and this is the first time I have found a solicitor I will stick with. Michael Kirkham was in charge of my case and he went well beyond the call of duty, even finding an error on one of my properties dating back to a mistake made by a previous solicitor I used back in 2010. My initial review was 1* due to a disorganised service received and due to having to chase up on a number of occasions. HOWEVER, I have decided to increase to a 3* review to reflect the personal aftercare service that Jeremy is providing relating to my initial complaint and after our phone call and apologetic letter, I feel that the issues raised in my complaint will be reviewed and dealt with.

Not impressed at all. Was given a completion date, got everything arranged only to find out from our estate agent that the person buying our buyers house, didn't even have a mortgage yet. Our solicitor was dragging her feet, never available, didn't pay the estate agent then asked for money that we had already paid. The whole moving experience was made totally stressful by our solicitors. Would never use Windows Pilling again.
