I would like to say a huge thank you to Kathryn O'Rourke for her help on purchasing my first home! From day one she has been amazing, very helpful explaining processes and answered all of my questions when I didn't quite understand. We were dealing with an extremely difficult solicitor on the sellers side and Kathryn was very percistant. I've already highly recommended her to friends buying their first homes and will certainly be calling her again if we ever decide to purchase another home.

Being an estate agent myself I deal with a vast number of solicitors on a regular basis so when it came to buying and selling our own home there was no question where we would go. Thomas Partington at Glaisyers is by far the best conveyancer I have ever worked with professionally and his service did not disappoint when I became a client myself.

We didn't have an easy ride with our onward purchase and were dealing with very abrupt and painfully slow solicitors on the vendors side. The purchase took a much longer time than necessary given we had broken the chain and the vendor was downsizing to a chain free property. I honestly think if we didn't have Tom working on our behalf we'd still be waiting for the keys a year later! Tom was extremely informative, communicative and responsive throughout the process.

Glaisyers was recommended by my broker as a new solicitor firm to work with. Our initial engagement seemed positive and very prompt. Kathryn O'Rourke is then appointed for my case. As my purchase was an auction transaction, speed is key. Kathryn was on point in getting over reports, messages and updates throughout the whole process. The level of service she provided was exceptional and very professional.

She did a lot of work behind the scenes, speaking with seller solicitor, lender underwriter and broker, on top of that she provided me with relevant updates at appropriate times. Keeping me informed should there be anything I needed to do. This helped me keep calm. After a few phone calls and emails exchanged, my trust level for Kathryn has gone up.

I trusted that when we hit an obstacle, we could find the solution for it. She did exactly that, while protecting my interest and safety throughout. I've now used Glaisyers twice to buy property in Manchester city centre. They, specifically Tom Partington, have been fantastic on both occasions and I couldn't recommend enough. Ruth was extremely busy with unprecedented demand but despite this was always happy to make time to answer our question and make sure we fully understood everything.

I am fortunate enough to have worked with one of the partners at Glaisyers in a previous life when he was a solicitor at another firm, so I knew the level of quality I was in for with him. The Mrs wanted someone i trusted given the poor service she experienced using a local firm when she purchased her flat. From day 1 of selling our flat to exchanging on our house they have been exceptional! quality advice and did a lot of legwork in chasing the relevant parties to get our transaction over the line & kept us calm and happy throughout. Its always advised to find a quality firm and not make price the most important thing (luckily Glaisyers were very reasonable in terms of fees given the quality they bring to the table), you can always tell the difference, not right away but a cheap solicitors work will hit you later on!. if you are looking to buy/sell, we would fully recommend Tom and Kathryn, and Glaisyers as a firm.

It took time but the end result proved her competence experience knowledge and professionalism and we would not hesitate to use Glaisyers again. They sent a folder containing my personal information in a thin plastic envelope which I received opened. Apparently I've got to blame the post office. I have involved ICO to take them to task. They are an appalling firm of solicitors.

I instructed Tom Simpson and his team to help me purchase my dream home and it was the best decision! Disappointed with the service. Not what one would expect of law firm. If they do better I will update accordingly. Everyone has a bad day now and again.

Shocking- shocking service, shocking correspondence, shocking communication. Place should be closed down- an absolute disgrace.
