Excellent solicitor. I have used Samuel Philipps back in 2013 and again this year for the staircasing and sale of a shared ownership property. Helen Griffiths and Sophie Miller have both been very professional considering this wasn't a straight forward sale or purchase. Will definitely use again in the future.

I'm happy with the level of service I received from Helen and her assistant Kelly. The money I was charged was incredibly competitive and the service was professional. The only thing I would say is that you should try and keep the clients a bit more informed regarding what is going on with the file as there was a bit of chasing around that I had to do. For the most part I am happy though and I would use this firm again.

I hope I can change this rating soon and hope that this review will make someone from the firm act promptly to getting in contact with myself. Using samuel phillips as my solicitors to purchase a property and don't get phone calls or reply to emails. I have a feeling I may end up homeless in July if my house purchase is completed by June. I wish I never chanahe solicitors but thought I would use a local one to help speed the process. That has not been the case and I don't know where I stand now in terms of actually moving forward

Professional company, have helped me on a few occasions and I've never had a problem with there services. Quick and efficient when dealing with matters couldn't be happier.

Overall very good experience. Quick, professional, clear - while we didn't have many questions, when we did Tom (who was our solicitor) was always very quick to reply with all details we needed. The information they provided were clear too. I've heard horror stories from my friends about buying and how solicitors can be absolute PITA to work with, but that was absolutely not my experience. Overall, would definitely recommend :)

Incompetent solicitor assigned to my case. From losing multiple forms including bank details, home address and personal information to finding out 5 minutes before handing over huge amounts of money and getting my new home keys that he had miscalculated what we owed help to buy and we owed over 2k more to them. The original sum he calculated was completely random as well so no idea where he got that from. Made complaints after this happened but was told by another incompetent colleague that they had done nothing wrong and that was what we owed.

Yes correct, but you don't correct these things 5 minutes before exchange of funds, it should have been calculated correctly in the first place. The attitude towards my complaint showed me i was dealing with a truly poor company. Only positive was Lucy Velasco who despite not being my solicitor provided me with the most information and answered all my questions when my solicitor decided not to reply. AVOID.
