We are currently looking for a full time residential property solicitor for both our Chelmsford and Braintree branches. These positions would suit someone with 2 years + pqe. They must have excellent communication skills together with enthusiasm and energy. The ideal candidate will need experience working in a busy environment and be able to deal with around 30 new instructions a month with support staff. Our fees cover all of the normal/routine work required to complete the purchase of your new home without a mortgage, including dealing with registration at the Land Registry and dealing with the payment of Stamp Duty Land Tax (Stamp Duty) if the property is in England, or Land Transaction Tax (Land Tax) if the property you wish to buy is in Wales.
There are some situations where all that is required is for the parties to communicate more effectively with each other and in that regard we can help you find the specialist counselling you need. However, should that not be appropriate a person may petition for a divorce or a dissolution in a civil partnership from their spouse or partner after they have been married for a period of at least 1 year. The Court must be satisfied on any petition for divorce or dissolution that the relationship has broken down irretrievably.

I would not recommend Cunningtons, they are slow at replying to voicemails and emails, that is if you get a reply at all! They ask for the same information more than once and don't appear to listen to the clients requests. I had to do a lot of chasing to get any information out of them which is not what I would expect from a well established company. All in all not a pleasurable experience and would recommend anyone to look elsewhere!

Fantastic service offered from Paul Fenton with regards to buying and selling our home. Paul Fenton and his team at Cunningtons made the whole process very easy for us. We were updated every step of the way via the app and email. Our purchase took 5 months to go through due to delays with probate. Paul tracked this regularly and kept the pressure on the sellers solicitor. This is not the first time we've used Cunningtons and it won't be the last. We cannot fault the service we received and would highly recommend them.

If you'd like responses that are faster than 3-5 working days then I'd highly recommend going elsewhere. It may be different now but as of summer last year there were no direct phone number for your individual solicitor and if you called the office you were directed to email them instead, which is really not great. If you can afford to pay more money to go with a company that guarantees same day response or even a direct phone number then I'd say to do that. As the saying goes if you pay cheap then you pay twice. Ps ended up with a really good company in Old Harlow.

Cunningtons handled our conveyancing with efficiency & professionalism but also managed to be friendly & approachable. We are not experienced in buying & selling properties but Cunningtons were happy to take the time to explain & guide us in areas we were unsure of & we felt confident that no details were being missed.
