I have just used Ison Harrison Solicitors in Leeds as I needed assistance in an employment law matter. The matter had a very short time frame and Ambreen Rashid was very efficient and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain everything to me in an easy to understand way. She kept me informed of every development. She was friendly and kind as well as excellent at her job. I definitely recommend her.

Values, ethical Ison and Harrison in Leeds have been recommended to us by a friend and we recommend them as well. In particular, Yunus and Ambreen have been amazing! They were professional, gave us very good and helpful advice. They always answered the phone or emails, even out of office hours, to make sure communication was flowing. **AVOID** Where to start with this firm. I agreed a sale on my first property in early March 2021 and knew that with the stamp duty deadline looming things might be quite slow moving, but was not prepared for just how slow with Ison Harrison. Charles Knapman was responsible for 'handling' the purchase of my first home. He ignored almost all of my emails and it was only after multiple follow up calls/emails did I get a response from him.

When I managed to speak to him, he was dismissive and rude, blaming the delays on an innumerate number of things. I sent over a few questions regarding the property - all of which went unanswered. Because trying to engage with Ison Harrison was such an unpleasant experience, in the end I gave up and turned to liaising with the estate agent instead - which proved much more fruitful.

After appointing Ison Harrison in early March 2021, THREE MONTHS LATER, in June 2021 and I still hadn't even received the paperwork from them (despite my best efforts). I asked for some reassurance that they would cover the stamp duty if the deadline were missed, which they agreed to share with me in writing. Around the same time, the vendor of the property I was purchasing passed away.

Now in March 2022, exactly a year after agreeing a price with the vendor and multiple back and forth with Ison Harrison, the firm is now refusing to acknowledge their previous commitment to pay the stamp duty if the deadline was missed. I've asked Ison Harrison to provide me with all the emails with the vendor's solicitor as proof that the delays were due to the latter, which they've advised will not be possible to send me for another week, which tells me all I need to know. Ison Harrison has ruined the experience of buying my first home due to their chronic failings and their abysmal attitude. After recent calls with them to try and resolve this issue, I've been advised to take my complaint to the ombudsman, which I will do. Please avoid this firm at all cost!

I usually don't post reviews but these solicitors have been fantastic from beginning to end. They came recommended from our new build company and we have no regrets. Niamh went above and beyond in our house sale and purchase and was always understanding in our frustrations with our chain and did everything she could to make our lives easier. Communication was excellent and we always felt updated, reassured and that nothing was ever too much trouble. Id recommend them in a heartbeat and if moving wasn't so stressful! we would use them again and again, Thank you!

Would Recommend Ison Harrison and especially Shaun Hulme who dealt with my case in the most professional manner and guided me through my family court case. The opposing solicitors were very rude, but Shaun dealt with them very well and this is why I managed to get an even better outcome at my final hearing than we even thought was possible! Couldnt give a more glowing review of Ison Harrisons. I switched solicitors due to the cyber attack the Simplify group experienced at the end of last year and it was the best decision I ever made. You may not be able to change the behaviours of those individuals who have no place in society, but do not allow yourself to be bullied or treated unfairly. Ison Harrison will assists you in taking to task any wrong doing that you have been a victim of irrespective of who the perpetrators are.

I know the pandemic has caused some problems but I so unhappy with these solicitors in an office based in Garforth. First solicitor in company I had did not appear to be able to cope, I complained about her lack of response to phone calls, emails etc. She appeared to have left the company shortly after. Then had a partner in company who was painstakingly slow, again not always responding to emails or voice messages.

One member of staff on phone very clipped voice, sounded as if she was reading from a script when answering my questions and once even carrying on eating her lunch while speaking to me, constantly chewing away. Identical new build semi next door went through in 3 months, mine taking 5 1/2 months. When I queried this, my Solicitor virtually inferred that my neighbours Solicitor hadn't been as thorough!

Finally my important documents, a thick wad of A4 paper, arrived squashed into a badly torn A5 envelope bursting at the seams, when they should have been in an A4 stronger brown envelope. The experience of selling and buying with these Solicitors has made the whole thing twice as stressful, well over 1000 solicitors fees was an insult.

Magdalena Dakowicz and her team were a pleasure to deal with. They did a lot of the chasing and were able to give us clear advice when we had issues with our chain breaking down. I think all the parties involved in our chain breathed a collective sigh of relief when our sale went through at the 11th hour before stamp duty cut off. The entire house buying process is a joke in England but at least Ison Harrison were on the ball and we felt they did the best they could given the circumstances outside of their control down the chain. Absolutely would not hesitate to use them again or recommend to friends. Thank you Magdalena and team!

I recently used Dhiran for my property purchase, and I have to say I was impressed. The professionalism, dedication and commitment Dhiran showed throughout the process was a credit to the firm, and the industry as a whole. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Dhiran to anyone in the future, and will definitely be back again.

Stay away! Working for an international law firm for over a decade I know what is good and what is bad. I would have used my own firm if they did this kind of work but unfortunately small work like this is not something they undertake. Throughout the year of dealings to complete on a new build the staff have been friendly but we have also had rude, unprofessional, absent, ignorant and unable to follow their own email trails leaving us delayed.

The sales team of the developer have also told us they experienced a lot of issues and that they just can't see the firm was capable of handling this level of work. We looked at reviews prior to choosing Ison Harrison and so I help leaving our own helps others.

We were recommended Dhiran for our house sale and purchase and couldn't be more pleased with the service we've received. Our deadline was met and all queries were dealt with quickly and efficiently, whilst we were kept aware of the progress throughout. We will absolutely use Ison Harrison again and advise other to do so too. Thanks!

Sonia Drayton was absolutely brilliant - she helped us buy a property in Dorset in just 14 working days from us making an offer through to exchange of contracts and helped us save 15k less stamp duty and getting the sale through by the end of June.
