MAJ Law are a great firm and I was very satisfied with the outcome of the case (potential custodial sentence reduced to a 3 month ban and a fine based on lack of evidence from police). There were a few occasions where I struggled to get hold of them because they were so busy, but I did always get a call back. I very much appreciated the out-of-hours phone call that I got from Conor as well when he was out with his family! For me that's customer service at its finest and putting your clients first .

Don't recommend at all , Proceed with caution amd make sure you get to read the agreement first before you pay or sign. If I could give 10 stars I would. This company saved my daughter's career and future. She was out with some friends when she started to feel progressively unwell and decided to come home. Whilst she was driving home, she said she started to feel out of control of the vehicle, so she pulled over, but in doing so she hit a parked car. The homeowners came out and phoned the police, saying she was clearly intoxicated. When the police arrived, she passed the breathalyser and when they asked where she had been and what she had been drinking, she said a glass of wine and then blackcurrant and soda. They decided to take her to the police station for further tests when on examination at the roadside her pupils were heavily dilated, indicating she could be under the influence of drugs. She explained to the officer at the police station that she felt sick, and she thought she had been spiked. Their argument was that she shouldn't have got in the car feeling unwell, her argument was that she didn't feel so unwell that she was unable to drive at the time, but the symptoms came on quickly. When the bloods came back, they were positive for ecstasy. We were mortified. She has never touched drugs. Not even a cigarette. I'm appalled that the police didn't take her seriously. Immediately we contacted M.A.J law. It was a difficult case, as essentially she had to plead guilty to the charge as she was under the influence and driving - however once an expert had been instructed and CCTV footage was reviewed, we also spoke to the pub owners who said she was absolutely fine when she left, we were granted special reasons, as it was confirmed she was spiked. This was an awful time in our lives. I cannot believe our daughter was almost WRONGLY convicted of taking drugs! I will be eternally grateful to everyone at M.A.J who worked tirelessly to get this resolved - and to James who was exceptional in court and throughout the entire case. Absolutely wonderful.

Harry represented me in court today. Because of him, I avoided a ban and was just given a fine and points. I could well have been given community service too but Harry was astute, professional, and fought my case perfectly.

Over promised, under delivered and charged a fortune.
I was completely misled and poorly advised by this firm who presented unrealistic outcomes.
Their high prices do not reflect the level of service or expertise they can deliver.

If you do want to contest a driving charge I would advise your money is best spent on motoring offence barrister who you can directly instruct.
Any of the preparation work I paid MAJ to complete had no bearing on the trial outcome.
I might as well of used the duty solicitor and saved a fortune.

I was recommended to get in contact with Coner by a family friend and he did not disappoint. The initial advice I received was direct but extremely useful. My case was then passed on to James who was the solicitor working on it and I was in regular contact with Olivia who updated me throughout the course of the case. Absolute miracle workers!
I was pulled over for Drink Driving. I thought all hope was lost. A loss of license would have ended my career. Stopped me seeing my children and caused me no end of other issues within my life.
The court only gave me a weekend from court summons to hearing. As soon as I got in contact with these guys they had their head of legal meeting me at the courtroom on the monday morning.

My experience with M.A.J Law has been seamless from the moment I contacted them about a drink driving offence. It truly felt “too good to be true” but as time went on I realised I was dealing with no-nonsense lawyers who do what they promise. After providing the police with 1 specimen of breath considerably under the legal limit but struggling to provide the 2nd, I was charged with Failure to Provide. The penalties for which are very serious and would have had significant implications to my work and home life. After contacting several different firms, MAJ filled me with the most confidence and I decided I would like them to represent me.

I could not be happier with my decision. John Fairhurst put forward a successful request for discontinuance to the CPS and the charges were dropped before I even had to enter my plea. I was looking at a lengthy ban of anywhere between 3-5yrs and without the help of David, Connor and James in no particular order, I would 100% be banned while writing this. I instructed MAJ Law to help me with a drink driving offence. I was considering going guilty until I spoke to them about ways to win my case. They seemed confident. Conor told me that the police don't always send the evidence in time because of a backlog. After I pleaded not guilty we waited for the evidence to come in, and waited, and waited. I get the impression that MAJ Law dominate the market for motoring offences. The judge seemed to get along with my solicitor in court and the CPS knew who he was. MAJ Law were also representing another client on the same court date. Rather than save money and put one solicitor on both cases, we each had our own solicitor. It's little touches like this that make a difference. My solicitor updated me regularly and kept in touch throughout. I would definitely recommend MAJ Law to any motorist facing a driving ban.

I was charged with drink driving following an incident in Chester. I was only slightly over the legal limit but bailed to attend court. I use my vehicle for work purposes and have a family to support so I called on MAJ Law to help me. I would like to thank John and Harry for their help and advice during my case. My case ran relatively quickly from start to finish (late December to February). I initially spoke to Harry who reassured me that we could fight the case. John was always at the end of the line when I needed reassurance. Before my third hearing, set for February, the CPS discontinued the case. What a result! I highly recommend this firm just trust the process. I was duped by their marketing material, the online reviews, and a phone call with Connor Johnstone. I paid their fees - in the region of 2500 GBP - to defend a driving charge for which they did absolutely nothing. They did not ask for full disclosure, did not analyse any evidence or prepare anything in my defence, they only told me to obtain a character reference less than 24 hours before the court date, they did not send one of their own solicitors and paid a 3rd party to represent me and had not briefed them at all, they much guaranteed my conviction.

I continously stayed in contact with MAJ to confirm if they were progressing matters, but they hid behind the fact that I have not been issued a court date, and that formulating a defence wouldnt be necessary until summoned by the courts - and that it was possible I would not even be asked to attend court given the light nature of the alleged crime and given there was a backlog of higher crimes that would need to be processed by the court due to the impacts of COVID.

I was eventually summoned at two weeks notice and was provided nothing in preparation for the appearance. The solicitor the had contracted to represent me had told me that they themselves would not recommend MAJ Law and that there are better firms out there if you find yourself in a need of a defence for motoring related issues. The only response from anyone was an aggressively toned email from Connor when I raised all of the points I mention here - they waste not time defending their own behaviour.

Please do your research and do not be taken in lightly by companies that claim to be able to support you at a time where may feel desperate for this kind of support. I would go as far as suggesting that the positive reviews may be false or even paid for, as there are no mid level review ratings - they are either 1 or 5. I think that says a lot.

After being stopped by the police and failing a road side swab, I was arrested and taken to a police station where I was required to provide a sample of blood to be tested at a laboratory. I failed to provide the required sample due to a needle phobia. I explained my phobia to the police and the medical practitioner at the police station. The police didn't think my needle phobia was a reasonable excuse for failing to provide a blood sample and I was subsequently charged with failing to provide a blood sample without a reasonable excuse.

I contacted MAJ Law after my release. The solicitors at MAJ Law arranged for me to be assessed by a medical expert. The medical expert gave evidence at my trial and explained to the Magistrates that in her expert opinion I did have a needle phobia and that it was reasonable for me to fail to provide a blood sample at the police station after being arrested, due to my phobia.

My barrister, who was instructed by MAJ Law, cross examined the prosecution's witnesses, the arresting officers and the medical practitioner from the police station. After considering all the evidence the magistrates found me not guilty. I would definitely recommend MAJ Law to assist you if you ever find yourself in a similar situation.

I contacted MAJ Law with a tricky case. I was pulled over, drug swabbed (positive for cannabis) and then expected to provide a specimen of blood at the station. I wasn't able to provide this, on genuine medical grounds. I have a needle phobia. The police dismissed these grounds as irrelevant and charged me for failure to provide a specimen of blood upon request.

I knew this would lead to a mandatory 18 month ban. MAJ Law were great start to finish; they were able to put me in touch with a physiatrist who specialised in phobia's. She was able to examine me and produce a favourable expert report to put in front of the courts, to show that I did in fact refuse on genuine medical grounds. The case didn't even make it to court. MAJ Law communicated with the CPS and shortly after submitting my expert report, my court case was dismissed and discontinued. I am thankful for their support with this case, as without them I fear I may have lost my driving license unfairly due to my medical condition. MAJ Law highly recommended.

Placed an enquiry online and the very next morning someone got in contact with me to run through the charges against me and what services they could provide to help my case against these charges. There is a fixed fee to undertake the case, but this is all explained upfront and the professional advice and responsiveness I got from the staff I dealt with (especially Olivia) was absolutely fantastic and I felt very confident in my choice of representation. Please don't fall into this scandal. These reviews are not true. I guess they have been paid to leave reviews. I spent over 6k and I had to change my solicitor at the end as they were gonna charge me another 2500 for my case basically advising me to change plea at the last minute. Only way you can win the case is, if the officer doesn't turn up on trial. Mr. Conner will take you through a phone call at the begging to convince you to plea not guilty by saying the breathalyser machine hasn't been calibrated and the time is wrong on it etc etc.

Don't fall for it. The machine calibrate itself after certain amount of tests. And the police will do their procedures properly with paperwork etc. Please before challenging your case check all your documents. It's very unlikely these papers would have mistakes. I'm repeating it again. The only way of winning the case is if the officer doesn't turn up.

Or there is only one independent person for the whole island who could find mistakes on the breathalyser machine. And that person is not always available. Better just go for the guilty plea and take the band unless you're 100% sure there is a way of winning the case. I'm Only trying to save your money guys.

I didn’t know if I needed a solicitor for my drink driving case. I did some research and looked online. I came across some YouTube videos from MAJ Law about how to avoid a driving ban (I would recommend watching them). I called and spoke to Marcus Johnstone. He was clear and convincing, didn’t speak down to me and put me at ease. I instructed MAJ to handle my case.

A couple of month in I received a call from David (I think I got his name right!). David told me my case had been dropped to due a ‘procedural irregularity’ which they’re seeing more and more of due to pressures on the police. No need to go to court and I’ll get some money back. I first contacted MAJ Law around 12 months ago when I had been accused of drink driving. I couldn't risk losing my license as I need it for work. MAJ had been recommended by a friend. I was really hoping my case wouldn’t go to court, but my solicitor explained that this was the strongest argument. The police hadn’t served the right evidence against me despite my solicitors asking for it. My case went on for many months, but the process was made easier by MAJ updating me regularly. At trial my barrister presented an argument asking the court to exclude the evidence.

He was calm and compelling. The court agreed and the Police withdrew my case. I accept that I was in the wrong but I could not face a 12 month ban. My lesson has still been learnt! MAJ Law are expensive but I guess you get what you pay for. I’ll also be getting some money back!!

We had a few times were cps and courts messed us around but that just made James more determined to win my case.
