I used optimal solicitors as conveyancers for a property purchase. Not only were they incapable of putting the correct address on forms at each and every step of the process but they seemed completely unconcerned about the endless careless mistakes made. My case was shunted from person to person within the company as it seems they have a revolving door of incompetent employees that don't care at all about the quality of their work.
Every issue I spotted required 5-6 calls and emails to get a remotely satisfactory response. The reviews are misleading. It is clear that many of them have been posted by their own employees. Avoid at all costs.

I used Optimal Solicitor's for purchasing my first property based on their value for money and good reviews. Although I had frustrations with third party costs, my case handler, Claudia Land, remained professional at all times and got on with the job at hand. She was always available to speak with or if she wasn't, she made a point of phoning me back.
I gave Claudia a preferred exchange and completion date, to which she successfully worked toward. I would recommend using this company if not for the professionalism, but for the responsiveness for when you need them. Thank you for all your help Claudia.

I haven't really had a chance to deal with many solicitors before but it was massive relief when we got in touch with Optimal Solicitors when buying our first home. The solicitors we started with took ages to every single email return so I decided to swap for Optimal. What a huge difference from a start. Once the form was filled I was contacted by the staff and from then on everything was very clear and smooth.
No hidden costs and most importantly the response was almost immediate when you ask or send over emails. Im absolutely satisfied from start to finish. Kieren Baar made it all possible on last day of Stamp Duty holiday which saved us about 2,5k Brilliant service!

Huge thanks to Kieren who helped with the buying transaction of my one bed flat in East London. Although the whole process took much longer than anticipated but the final stage went smoothly and Kieren was always able to provide detailed responses. My final bill was very close to the initial quote, there was no nonsense involved. The only down side - the conveyancing team is clearly understaffed and everyone seemed to be under high pressure.

I have recently sold with "help of optimal solicitors". I've never seen so many incompetent people in one office. Case handler was change 3 times at least, on the exchange day the didn't answer calls from buyers solicitor. And now month after I've sold and they deducted 630 pounds as allowance for service charge, they sent me email demanding 630 pounds for unpaid service charge because they are unable to transfer property to the buyer. Forgot to mention that most of the time they will not answer when you call. I've used them before and it was only average service, but conveyancing was as unprofessional as it could be.

If you are needing advice on medical negligence, please take one bit of advice DON'T. I work with solicitors daily, and I can honestly say these are the worst solicitors I've ever come across. Our first words when we came off the phone were "they didn't listen to a single thing we mentioned to them", its appalling that they have someone who has no medical knowledge or experience, to answer all the enquiries.
You don't get chance to speak to a solicitor, they basically have a runner who asks questions; but let me tell you, they certainly don't ask the right questions, just questions they think they have to ask. Pointless questions. The runner then runs to the solicitor, relays the pointless information, then the runner calls you back with a response. Our case was extremely complicated and needed someone who had medical knowledge.
We have since spoken to another solicitors, who were absolutely gobsmacked with the way Optimal Solicitors handled the situation. I'm glad they showed how they work at the beginning of our medical negligence claim, and not in the middle. I have zero faith they can get the job done properly. As I mentioned earlier I deal with solicitors on a daily basis, and I'll certainly be warning people to stay clear of Optimal.

Used this company to sell a property last year and they were very good however this time I used them to buy and sell and nothing went right. It was a catalogue of errors from start to finish and I wouldn't recommend them. The company in general were at fault and their invoices were not set out properly. Never again very disappointed and I was overcharged compared to the quote and I still don't understand how they did that.

Cowboy conveyancing. They get 1 star because the house got completed eventually but the rest of experience was awful. List of reasons the experience was awful seems endless: Hid that they weren't on panel for my lender meaning dual representation required (massive hassle) Ignore emails, junior staff on phone lie assuring things will progress (after being on hold for ages) Lost important documents when completion came meaning expensive re-postage Incurred huge costs and stress for me from endless delays STOLE MY MONEY, after failing to complete on original date they just kept money I had paid for shared ownership rent and never returned surplus Official complaint dealt with disgracefully.

To say awful is putting it mildly. There is absolutely no part of the conveyancing, my sale and purchase, they didn't utterly muck up. Due to their mistakes I even had to sign a disclaimer that was required only because of their inaction and utter incompetence. Months on and I'm still waiting for the final paperwork and information linked to my purchase, included the holding of monies. I'm hoping that this review will actually be read by someone who cares within Optimal and they call me to sort out - as I asked at the end of March!!!

Admittedly at first there was minimal contact when doing conveyancing for our first house purchase but in hindsight if there’s not much to feedback due to waiting on searches etc then this is to be expected. Once everything was ready everything they could do to rush through our purchase was done, constantly chasing third parties and luckily we managed to move in on the day we had originally hoped, likely wouldn’t have been the case without their tenacity.
