Carr and co completed my home move during the coronavirus outbreak working as speedily as possible within the limits imposed by the crisis. Gordon who finished off my move had just started working at the company but was constantly in touch to give me assurance that the move was going to get over the line and resolved everything to my satisfaction.

Gordon Sursham, Gosforth branch, did the conveyancing for my parents. He was excellent. As my parents are elderly, he took that into consideration and his manner and patience was second to none. The process went smoothly and his support was extremely appreciated. I would certainly recommend him.

I feel massively let down by Carr & Co's poor service. We employed them to represent us for a commercial transaction back in September. Sharon Smith, seemingly the owner of the business, was assigned to us and unfortunately, was hugely challenging to work with throughout the process. There was a distinct lack of initiative, attentiveness and overall care shown to our case, with emails being sent to addresses with typos, major concerns left in the "revised" paperwork unchanged, and very slow response-times to calls and emails to name a few. Sharon's lack of response even led to the buying party contacting me chase Sharon, to check if she had received an email they'd sent 2 weeks prior, which she had and just never actioned.

Every time I called to chase Sharon (which was regularly), she was always "about to" do whatever I was chasing her for, and communication on where we were up to was very one-way. I even raised these concerns with her at the time and was hugely underwhelmed by her lack of empathy and care that I was unhappy with the service being provided. I felt we had little-no support on this matter, and that without us chasing and driving the whole thing, believe it would still be dragging on today.

The cherry on the cake was being invoiced for an additional 300.00 which I had not spoken to Sharon about prior to receiving the invoice. When I sat down with her to go over the final paperwork, at no point did she outline that that costs would be more than the pre-agreed 250+VAT i.e. 300.00. As this cost was the same as what had been quoted originally, and no additional costs had been verbally discussed, I had no inclination that this was an extra fee.

When I called Sharon to discuss this, she was very flippant and told me that I had received a letter advising me of this cost. Sharon displayed the same level of care on this call that I experienced from her throughout this process - literally zero. If you're wanting a solicitor who actually gives the impression they care about you, I would recommend avoiding Carr & Co, specifically Sharon Smith.

Handled a tricky conveyance efficiently and speedily. Always kept me up to date with information and dealt with me in a friendly manner. Will use them again if I need a solicitor.

I have been impressed by Carr and Co solicitors who helped me with the sale of my property. I was amazed by the efficiency of both Geoffrey Lurie and Carol Hornby, who managed to complete the sale for me in a very short space of time. There was a slight delay on the day of completion due in no way to our solicitors and Mark sorted the problem within minutes with one phone call. Consequently the move was virtually stress free. We have used Carr and Co Solicitors services for over 20 years including Will making, for an accident and injury claim, advice on employment law and several other matters. Carr and Co Solicitors provided a very personal, professional service.

I have total confidence in Carr and Co Solicitor and I would not consider using any other Law firm and I would not hesitate in recommending them. I find it incredulous that anyone could leave anything other than a glowing review as I could not fault the service.

I wanted a Will written, my first and I needed some advice to make sure I had adequate provision for my child. All of my questions I had were answered and put my mind at ease. We recently used Colleen Veitch for a conveyancing matter. She was very approachable and always happy to help. We would certainly recommend her services to anyone.

They are not reliable. neither do recommend them at all. I contacted Car and Co solicitors Newcastle Gosforth, for a cash purchased property. Spoken to Mark Lynn who were leading with my case. I had the search results with me already. Even with that the process took almost a year to its completion. When you contact them in the office they always say no one is there. they would give you a call back. that never happens.

You are not informed of the process and what's come next. When the completion date arrived it was postpone twice. In the end when i complain to Mrs Sharon Smith she replied to my complain. Although kept my file with her. So the Land Register it wasn't done. And i only found out when i contacted them back asking why is taking over 3 months to register.

They haven't told me it wasn't done. she said it could take days or even months. After contacting the land Register to enquire about the process they've told me no forms were received. I had to complaint again to Carr and Co solicitors. This time Sharon Smith hasn't reply anymore. It was Victoria Bell who did. Please if you want a hassle free they are not the ones you should hire. what it says on their webpage "our services" is just a fake marketing they haven't provided none of those mentioned.
