The Team at Irwin Mitchell have provided us with the very highest standards of professional legal services through what has been an incredibly challenging journey with our case. In particular Auriana Griffiths as the Partner leading our case always conducts herself with the greatest compassion and professionalism. She proactively manages the needs of her clients whilst delivering the best possible outcomes for those concerned.
Great care has been taken to sensitively handle difficult conversations and we are so grateful for all the efforts that have been made to guide us through the complexities of the legal system.

My experience with Stephanie Edwards was flawless. I have had other solicitors assist me but I would recommend Stephanie above all. She is very organised and easy to get hold of. I felt she made a traumatic case easier for me. She was always available and she made the entire process easy to follow. I would strongly recommend her!

I was recommended to Irwin Mitchell solicitors by the hospital where my husband was being treated for his terminal illness. I found them extremely professional and sympathetic to my case. They put in a lot of hard work and research into securing a successful outcome for my claim. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone who needed good quality professional.

The service we are currently receiving from Irwin Mitchell has been exceptional! We have been dealing with Darshana Patel who is not only dealing with our case efficiently and promptly but has been able to provide an extremely empathetic approach to each of us involved which has been crucial with this specific case. She has been keeping us informed of the progress regularly and comes across as highly experienced and professional. Cannot fault this firm in any way, highly recommended!

It was a good days work choosing Irwin Mitchell. Our appointed legal executive, Emma Guy has been sympathetic, considerate and totally professional throughout the whole process. A complex procedure, at a difficult time (for the family), progressed seamlessly. Emma kept us informed at every stage. The service was faultless and we're indebted to Emma for the result she achieved. Five star service and no hesitation in recommending Irwin Mitchell.

Irwin Mitchell have been very helpful and supportive, whilst also showing great attention to detail. How they managed to retain all the facts of my case, when even my memory was hazy (the case took 4 years) I'll never know. Alisha Puri was infinitely patient and honest with me throughout and secured a fantastic result with her great negotiation skills.

Just over two years ago I contacted Irwin Mitchell to help my husband and I bring a negligence case against the NHS. I don't know why I picked them from many others but luckily it turned out well. Catherine Knight took on our case. Unfortunately my husband passed away soon after but Catherine carried on the fight and with her knowledge and persistence we won the case.
A lot of the paperwork was in medical jargon but Catherine always explained the main points to me in English. She was always at the end of the phone at anytime. Catherine and other collegues at Irwin Mitchell have dealt with this case in a professional (but friendly) manner and I would recommend them to others in the same situation.

My husband was given a number of solicitors to chose from HASAG a charity that deals with asbestos related matters. I am pleased I chose Irwin Mitchell and Hannah Wall was allocated my case. Hannah visited us at home and having run my own business in Electrical Engineering found Hannah to be knowledgeable and professional and a pleasure to deal with.
Within a six month period we have a successful outcome. Should you require a solicitor for a similar action I would highly recommend Irwin Mitchell and Hannah Wall in particular.

I sort the services of Irwin Mitchell for a personal matter, I was assigned to Jassica Nava and her assist Beth Whittaker. In all of the communications I had with both they where professional and informative, nothing was to much trouble and they always had time to explain anything I was unsure with. There professionalism ensured a positive outcome to my claim. Mr K Shirt

I was unfortuate to have a personal injury accident whilst walking along a pavement. As a result of a broken leg, I lost a job I was due to start the following month overseas. I was in anguish as it was a dream job and paid well. Katie Lowe and her colleagues at Irwin Mitchell gave me honest support and expectations. They were excellent communicators and achieved a very fair settlement for me. This was the best experience I have ever had with a firm of solicitors so I would highly recommend them.

Apart from being incredibly responsive, Shazia Shah helped focusing on the key points and ensuring she highlighted and explained any potential risks where something might not be fully clear to me. When pushing back on terms, she helped me with arguments to use, but also the likely responses I would receive in return and how to prepare for these. However, what I appreciated the most was the transparency she could offer in regards to the likelihood of being successful with my requests, ensuring time wasn't wasted on unnecessary items.

From the first moment I met Lacey StJames fromIrwin Mitchell I had faith that she would work hard on my behalf but I was sceptical that she would be able to find out anything to help me and told her so. However, within a short while she had discovered the parties reponsible as the company had changed hands frequently and would not have been found by me.
She also managed to find a witness to the conditions that caused my illness, even though I had lost contact with him and had no idea where to find him, but she found hiim. She got a written statement from him which helped tremendously and I would never have been able to obtain this myself. All this was done without constant intrusion into my life, which would have been tiring for me.
Without her, I would have given up as finding those responsible on my own would have been impossible. I can't thank her enough for all the help and support she gave me, especially as she had Covid 19 herself but still kept me informed of everything.

I cannot recommend Sacha Sokhi enough for all of her knowledge and effects to resolve my Disability Discrimination case. Sacha made a really stressful time for me that much easier and is extremely personable in her manner, I would not hesitate to instruct Sacha again. Keep being you Sacha and Irwin Mitchell are most definitely extremely lucky to have you.

After my Dad passed away from Mesothelioma, one of his former work colleagues mentioned claiming compensation from his former work insurers on behalf of my Mum. Until then I had no idea this was possible as he's former place of work had liquidated over 15 years prior. Dad had been helped by an Asbestos charity after diagnosis to claim benefits he was entitled to and also government compensation.
I contacted Irwin Mitchell from a list provided by the same charity. From the start Emma Guy at Irwin Mitchell has been very professional and efficient. I've always felt very well informed of the process. At times it has been very difficult to recount events of the last year of my late fathers life but Emma has always been kind and considerate. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Emma Guy at Irwin Mitchell and thank her for all she has done for my Mum.

So far, to say that I am seriously unimpressed is an understatement. In January 2013, I sought to obtain advice via the Irwin Mitchell legal helpline provided by my Axa home insurance policy. On no less than three separate matters, I was given duff advice: I was told I could sue the CSA actually, the CSA cannot be sued for negligence. In relation to the second matter, I was told I could go to the LGO I quickly discovered that the LGO didn't have any jurisdiction whatsoever.
The third matter related to the Party Wall Act and the poor chap who was supposed to be advising me was absolutely clueless. I'd have been better off asking my cat for guidance. Presently, in relation to a current building dispute, I receive lengthy generic letters/requests for evidence from Irwin Mitchell, whilst my position remains entirely unprotected vis a vis the developer because, despite what I would consider to be a fairly urgent situation, the developer has not received so much as one single letter from Irwin Mitchell in the seven week period during which they've, apparently, been considering my claim.
These letters from Irwin Mitchell to myself do not progress my claim in any way whatsoever. It's as if Irwin Mitchell is doing its best to rack up the costs under the pretext of considering the viability of my claim without providing me with any meaningful service. I've already received advice that my claim is worth pursuing, but Axa wouldn't fund the firm who provided that advice because it's not on their panel of solicitors instead, I'm left with Irwin Mitchell who, basicallly, judging by the content of its latest eleven page letter, just want me to get on with it and conduct the litigation myself. I've actually just been advised in the depths of an eleven page letter - to find out if the Party Wall Act applies and to write to the developer myself, advising it of the remedy I want! Are they charging Axa for that letter?
The mind boggles. There appears to be no willingness to engage with the facts of my case and the complete absence of any sense of urgency is quite extraordinary. I am SO frustrated. Year after year, we pay for these legal protection policies in good faith, but, when we actually need them to deliver, we are left powerless. As I understand the position, the government is keen to encourage the purchase of these policies.
If so, it definitely needs to provide more protection for the consumer. In a nutshell, I definitely wouldn't choose to instruct them. I will update this review periodically. UPDATE: It seems to me that this cosy little arrangement between Arc Legal and Irwin Mitchell has been flourishing at the consumer's expense for years. What we read here is, doubtless, just the tip of the iceberg this unholy alliance is most likely the kiss of death to practically all legal expenses claims, legitimate or otherwise. I've cancelled both my renewal with Axa and my new policy with Barclays, as I'm voting with my feet by refusing to insure with any company that uses Arc for its legal expenses cover.
I shall now complain to the Financial Ombudsman service. Eventually, some clever ombudsman caseworker somewhere may be bold enough to say that Arc can't hide behind Irwin Mitchell's ruthless filtering out process for ever.

To Sum Up: Friendly efficiant service with a long standing history in the area Irwin mitchell have a long standing history within sheffield, they have been around for at least as many years as i have and have allways provided me with friendly, honest service whenever i have needed legal advice. There offices are based within the city centre in a dedicated, officed block near the law courts.
They deal with a whole range of legal issues from personal injury claims to house purchases and sales and various other items. They operate on a no win no fee basis and provide there clients with advice regarding taking out insurance for in the instance that the case is not won. This is often at little or no expense to the user. All in all these solicitors are great all rounders and i wouldn't want to go anywhere else for any of my legal needs.

Irwin Mitchell are a national chain of solicitors who sepcialise in many areas of law. They are outstanding in their Personal Injuries claims, having helped clients fight against the local NHS bodies, where drugs were being denied, as well as physical injuries cases. They also undertake intermediary services for patients of the Court of Protection in the UK, as well as having an asset investment arm.
They are generally very approachable, offering good assessment of a case's potential, and their staff are thoroughly professional and highly skilled. If you meet in their offices you will find that meetings are held in good quality surroundings, with refreshments being made available. As most of their premises are in large city centres they will usually reserve parking for you on site.

5 star service from start to finish
Got passed over to Irwin Mitchell from a “no win no fee” claim company after my brother got hit by a car in December 2018. The care and consideration from our solicitor Alan Ball has been amazing.
He’s dealt with every silly question we might have, has contacted us frequently during the whole claim and replies have been so fast.
I cannot fault Irwin Mitchell at all. So so happy with the service provided. If I ever, for whatever reason, had to claim for a personal injury again I’d run straight back to Irwin Mitchell. Thanks Alan, you’ve exceeded all my expectations
