We decided to use DFA for our house sale not because they were the cheapest of the 8 solicitors we compare in Northampton (quite significantly cheaper than some!) but because we had read some great reviews online that called out a lady called Amy Butler in particular. When we were told she would be our contact then we decided to give them a chance and aren't we glad we did.

We instructed our sale on Monday 10th June and completed on Tuesday 2nd July, all thanks to the quick work of Amy and her colleague Jade Price. It wasn't the easiest sale either, our buyer's solicitor was particularly fussy, a few days before exchange she fired 21 enquiries at Amy & Jade but it didn't seem to phase them as they were all resolved a day or two later.

They both responded incredibly quickly to emails & were available to talk if you called the office, most days I would get a proactive email update from Amy or Jade before I even had time to chase. I would highly recommend DFA, Amy and Jade!

After using DFA to complete the purchase of our first home we were extremely happy with our decision. We had heard a lot of horror stories of other solicitors used by friends, we were amazed how responsive and reliable Amy was throughout every step of the process. I gave them a call today and at first the lady hung up on me. I tried again and was quoted 150+Vat to certify my passport. Unfortunately the lady did not know that I already got some information from a friend of a friend working in London as a solicitor, and knew that it should cost only 5 per document! Absolute rip off! Stay away!

We can sometimes take it for granted when things run smoothly and only realise how great a service is when they really go above and beyond. Amy Butler made purchasing our first home an absolute breeze. All the necessary documents and information we needed was sorted very quickly. Our estate agent expressed their astonishment when everything was handed in so quickly compared to other solicitors for us to be the first to move into our apartment!

I have left a few months break before writing this review. I have used these solicitors and the services of Alan Kiddle for a matter of family law, my advice is to please think twice before using them. Initially very polite and professional, listening and understanding. However, as the case progressed I became concerned by the advice I was given.

My conscience got the better of me, to me it was unethical standards and Alan discreetly encouraged me to mislead on court applications. My instructions were ignored and Alan instructed himself, I lost control of proceedings and when I raised my concerns I was told to follow his advice. Please avoid at all costs. Upon finding another solicitor, everything was resolved amicably in just four months. This review reflects my honest opinion.
