Leonards was founded in 1946 by two ex-servicemen who qualified in law on their return from active war service. The firm has operated from the same premises since 1952 and has built up a reputation for quality of advice and service. The firm originally specialised in personal injury litigation, but over the years our areas of expertise have grown and now include all forms of civil litigation, residential and commercial conveyancing, as well as wills and estates.Accidents can occur in many settings - at work; a car crash or a simple trip in the street.
We are a small, friendly practice, which believes in providing good quality service at a reasonable cost. We think our approach is what clients want most and is the reason that most of our clients have been with us for a long time. Leonards has two Solicitors, David Lingard and Lorna Turner. You can find out a bit more about each below.
The thinking is that this will allow customers to make an informed choice of legal service provider without the need to submit detailed information in order to obtain information on price. The guidance does not apply to legal services provided to businesses or any legally aided matter. When a solicitor is first instructed to carry out a piece of work on behalf of a client it is impossible to know how much work will be required to finish the job.

Throughout the process of having my lease agreed there were various breaches of data protection, my documents and personal details were sent to the wrong email address and only when the person responded to say they weren't their client was the mistake picked up on, this held up things with getting the lease signed and an access date. The only plus point was another solicitor took over and sorted everything out in the end and got us access to the property on the date first agreed. Hopefully this is something that can be monitored closely going forward as it brought a huge amount of stress and I wouldnt like for anyone else to be in this position.
I did seek legal advice from elsewhere and was continuing to do so but as we have been in lockdown and with the uncertainty of businesses going forward this would have left me more out of pocket so I feel a review is necessary to ensure others don't have this same problem.
