Marie and her team recently provided conveyancing for the sale of our first house and the purchase of the second and my wife and I could not be happier. From Initial conversations right the way through to finishing up the last bits and pieces related to completion, Marie, Sue and co. have been absolutely fantastic. I was so lucky I came across Mr Simon Pook at Clarke and Son as he was so different to my previous solicitor. Mr Pook is very tune to the need of a client and extremely helpful as well as patient in clarifying any queries. He is incredibly efficient, conscientious professional and one of rare kind of solicitors with 'where-is-the-will-there-is-the way' approach.

Mr Pook manages his clients' expectation well, but if there is any slim chance to do something even more efficiently, he will let you know. I cannot speak highly enough of Mr Pook. I am extremely grateful for all the help and determination as he managed to complete the sale of my flat and then help me with buying house. The whole process took less than 7 months and this included time which we needed to find a new home. This was very impressive. My sister and I used this firm for a very urgent matter. The solicitor was most helpful before our visit, talking to us on the phone as neither of us live in Basingstoke. Was recommended to use Clarke and Son by friends for obtaining Probate and dealing with settlement of an estate. We were not disappointed as the service was excellent. The solicitor dealing with our case was very efficient, always explained options and responded to emails and other communications in a timely manor. We were quoted a fixed price based on the complexity of the estate which was positively competitive with a well known national Probate service provider with the added benefit of more flexibility in options and the comfort dealing with a local solicitor with whom you could develop a rapport.

Personally I wouldn't use this firm again. I've had to do so much chasing and now, nearly six months after exchanging on some land I purchased, Ive still not received official documents. On numerous occasions I received no reply to emails. I was misquoted from the outset. When one of the partners, paul stepped in, things seemed far more efficient.

I know there are lots of good reviews on here, which is why I chose Clarke&Sons, but in my experience the service hasn't been great. I'm still awaiting my documents. I hope they arrive soon!

I dealt with Marie Pym, who has been very speedy in responses, chasing the seller's solicitors and had a keen eye to detail (caught some things out I never saw!). I originally used another solicitor in basingstoke, had a horrible experience and so was quite nervous when I chose Clarke & Son. However, the experience has been so smooth and so perfect from end to end! I highly recommend.
