Popped in whilst on vacation. Received great and friendly service from Darran as soon as I entered. Unfortunately the particular JLC watch of interest was not in stock on the day but was still very much welcomed to sit and chat all things watches with Darran. Worth the travel and will definitely re-visit when I'm back in town.

I cannot recommend Laing's adequately in just a few words! The professionalism of James Crawford from start to finish, was first class, he guided us through sourcing the product and honestly advised on time scales. With excellent comms he kept us updated and realistically appraised on the difficulty of our search. Finally he sourced our item and his genuine delight at assisting us was so evident.
We collected our item from his colleague, Conor as James was unfortunately out on business. Conor also demonstrated a high level of customer service and product knowledge. I am a very happy customer, and look forward to returning to the Edinburgh store for many years to come. James is indeed an asset to your company.

We are on holiday in Edinburgh staying at The Balmoral. My Pearlmaster bracelet has broken. Took it into Laings for repair. One piece of the 3 went missing and the assistant said it was never on tray. I knew it was. She quickly found it on the floor?. Felt the service was much below the standard than on previous visits. Customer service zero. Assistant needs a course on customer service.

Can't recommend James enough for looking after me when purchasing my luxury watch. His communication and attentiveness was top notch. James' knowledge in his field is vast and he can answer all your questions and queries. I'm extremely happy with my purchase and the experience throughout. Also when picking my watch up the general manager took the time to come and thank me for choosing Laings.
I won't hesitate to recommend James to my friends and family and I'll definitely be back to buy my wife her very own watch also! 10 out of 10 for service! Thanks again to all the team!

Laings Edinburgh have been amazing from start to finish! We wanted to get my Dad something special for his 60th Birthday. The watch we wanted was difficult to source and with the day approaching we thought we'd have to settle for something else. But James and Connor managed to get it in time and make it a day we'll never forget. The staff at Edinburgh were all wonderful in accommodating us at our appointment.
My Dad had no idea about the watch it was a total surprise, it had him in tears! Thank you so much for not only getting the watch but being so helpful and professional along the way. My whole family although in different parts of the country will all be coming back to Laings Edinburgh.

Absolutely incredible experience. I was looking to purchase a sapphire and diamond ring in memory of my father who passed in January 2021. Laigns were able to source the exact ring that I had seen on their website from another store so that I could try it on in Edinburgh. Needless to say I fell in love with the ring and their service was phenomenal. Thank you for helping me, this ring will forever hold so much sentimental value. Beyond grateful.

Superlative service. I have been a customer for a few years now and I really wanted to praise the team for going their dedication to customer satisfaction and attention to detail. I recently purchased a pair of earrings. The certificates for the stones, however, were not in store and I was given a valuation while waiting to get the originals dispatched from their store in Edinburgh.
It took some time until they found out that the certificates had been misplaced. I was not very happy at all but the team sourced two new diamonds for me, both GIA certified, and they set the new stones for me, complete with a new valuation as well. Thank you Vivian and the rest of the team for your professionalism and I look forward to return to the store in the near future!

Strange how times and trends change so quickly, I was recently at a function and someone asked if anyone had the time, everyone at the table took their phone out of their pockets to check, not one person at my table of twelve had a watch this is when after two years of not having one that l needed to buy one. I went to a few shops in princess square to see what was on offer I knew that if I was to buy a watch that it would have to be a good one, I already looked up online so I had an idea of what I wanted, most shops that I went to in princess square where rather pushy trying to sell me a high end Rolex for eight grand and this is not what l wanted.
In Laings they had a few good watches on display, but the watch that l wanted to look at the staff seemed to be rather negative on the brand, and wanted me to but a watch that was twice the price and twice as ugly than the one I wanted to see. I made my purchase and bought a Swiss made Alpina watch that watch was nice but they would have to order in the strap that I wanted.
Now a days you cannot buy a watch in a small box, the one I was given could comfortably fit a four slice toaster and that's no joke, and what was worse was that they had no bags to put the box in except a bin bag, you would think after spending a few thousand pounds in a store that they would have a bag to fit the purchase, these guys thought so and wrapped the box in a bin bag. I was happy with my purchase, but the customer service lacked.

The help I received both online and in their big store in Glasgow (down the wee jewellery Arcade) was great, it really reassured me that I should get my wedding ring from Laings. The sale process never felt pushy, and the price at the end for the quality of the item (including a slight customisation I had requested) was excellent, and far cheaper than other jewellers. Definitely worth a visit if you are about to make a big purchase!

Do not buy a watch from these people I did and regret it. I purchased a Tag Heuer and in just over two years it required a repair equal to one third of the cost to buy it. When it stopped working just over two years after I purchased it I checked the guarantee to find it was for two years only. I then put it into a local jeweller for what I thought was a new battery and was advised that the watch was faulty (coils).
I then contacted Laing to advise them of what had happened. Their reply was that it wasn't their responsibility as the watch was out of guarantee. I then e-mailed LVMH (British agent for service of Tag watches) who asked me to send them the watch and they would investigate. LVMH subsequently advised that the watch had been fitted with a non standard battery which had leaked, damaging the watch. However, the watch has never been fitted with a replacement battery.
After several wasted e-mail exchanges I called LVMH customer service directly who offered no help whatsoever and I asked for the watch to be returned to me. I then contacted my local jeweller once again (Ernest Jones) who offered to liaise with LVMH on my behalf. After several weeks they replied, stating that LVMH reiterated that the watch must have been fitted with a non standard battery by the shop where I purchased it from.
I contacted Laing advising them of LVMH findings and they have failed to accept any responsibility for the damage to my watch. I have tried to reason with Laing and LVMH, but communication has now broken down as they are now ignoring all of my correspondence. Overall, I am bitterly disappointed by the lack of assistance offered by Laing. Their customer service has been non existent and they have essentially called me a liar.
I chose to make such an expensive purchase from Laing in the first place due to their reputation and I will never buy jewellery from them again. The same applies to my family and friends.
