This company was recommended to me by their contracted employment agency. I made it past the background check with flying colors, but I had questions when as a non-attorney and non-secretary, they started asking me "conflicts" questions and had I ever sued anyone. I questioned that this was on the line of EEOC of retaliation because I might have opposed racism in the past.

I shortly charged them with racism and retaliation. The HR wrote that my written race complaint was an "overreaction" and I was denied the job because of being that and she wrote I was"flippant" in my complaint. The EEOC said I have a good case for 3 years front pay. I was never told ahead of time that it was part of the application process nor that I would be denied the position because I did not pass the conflicts questions.

I received no further response from the company but I have applied for other positions. Circa April 2019. I was upfront with them that I am a class members in a class action lawsuit against Hyundai Motors, but not a party. I complained that were these questions a violation of EEO procedures to ask these questions in the interview process since I had not been told my hiring would be based on the answers to these questions.

I feared that the company was fishing for applicants who might complain about discrimination in order to deny them employment. I believed their questions bordered on a violation of EEOC guidelines. This should have been stated in the hiring process that I would not have to answer any questions that tended to violate rights under the Civil Rights statutes.

No applicant should have to answer questions about previous employment discrimination complaints, if any, because asking the question borders on retaliation. I have not received any response to my inquiries to the company. I was denied employment for the open staff position.
