Services
Leigh Day is a top 100 law firm committed to claimant only cases ensuring that individuals have the same access to justice as the UK Government and large corporations. We offer a range of services to individuals in this country and those outside the UK looking to bring legal action against the British Government or large organisations based in the UK.
Often, if you've experienced injustice and are considering bringing a claim, there may be others in a similar position. Collective action is a way for people to work together and achieve justice. Sometimes known as class actions or group actions, joining a group claim can make the process faster and easier for all involved.
Leigh Day represents tens of thousands of UK vehicle owners on a no-win no-fee basis against many of the leading vehicle manufacturers. This follows allegations that manufacturers fitted 'defeat' devices to their diesel vehicles to cheat the EU and UK emissions laws. If successful, we believe diesel vehicle owners in England & Wales who bought or leased their vehicles could receive compensation worth up to 75% of the purchase price of their vehicle. We believe this legal claim matters to everyone. These vehicles were often advertised as being more environmentally friendly with lower nitrogen dioxide (NOx) emissions.
Leigh Day acts on behalf of Addison Lee drivers who claim that they should be treated as workers rather than self-employed contractors. If you are an Addison Lee driver, we believe that you are a worker and should be entitled to workers' rights. Addison Lee drivers who join the claim will be entitled to around 10,000 in compensation.

I have found the firm to be very professional, communicating effectively and regularly throughout the years that I have been part of the original diesel emissions cheat device claims process. Thank you to Bozena and Shazia for all their hard work in this complex legal action.

After showing an initial online interest in the possibility of joining the diesel emissions gravy train, I thought better of it and didn't progress further. After all - what actual losses did I actually suffer, I thought. The car worked and I paid a fair price, and now it has gone. You move on. What is annoying, though, is I continue to receive chasing emails from them - despite me unsubscribing on three occasions now.

With some extremely irritating 'No more calls, no more texts - we're breaking up. slogan to click on, that to date, is yet to produce that much desired relationship outcome. That frustration alone, makes me feel I made the right decision not to proceed any further!

No capacity. Don't waste your time. Represent yourself for no cost until this system falls. And when it does. Note to 'owner'.get it right. You would not assist. It's not that you couldn't. Reply and I'll place you on notice.you're clearly bad at law

Quiet simply. They don't respond, which tells you something about their capabilities. UPDATE: After receiving a message from Leigh Day about my google review they suggested I contact them with details. I contacted them twice on the 1/10/21 and twice on 4/10/21. I made sure the email address was correct. I even sent a copy to myself to double check and messaged them from their website as well, and guess what. No Response!

Talk a good talk but literally 2 letters to tesco with no response from them and they just give up. Probably more lucrative chasing diesel motor manufacturers. Very disappointed with this company and cannot recommend. Would give zero stars if possible.

They are very professional, I do not think they will let anyone go from their services with regret. They know what they are doing. Thanks Hannah, Vanessa and Lily.

Unbelievable to what extent this firm is unprofessional. Lady answering the phone was raising her voice and yawning lol I asked if she was yawning she replied " am I allowed to breath?" and hung up. So called paralegal Gaby took exactly 3 min to get the story saying " they will get to the bottom of it" and was not really interested to ever reply to 3 emails including password protected document or voice messages of potential claim.

On top it took many calls to get to speak to someone. They do not listen do not respond and the whole level of communication is just shocking. I received a reply from Alex offering to call Samaritans lol as they had no capacity to take the case on but initially they did not even know what case was about. It's a disaster that law firm is operating in such unprofessional manner it's literally unbelievable. I can't imagine these kind of lawyers dealing with anyone's case lol.

Called and gave details about a case that I wanted to pursue against my employer. Was told a specific solicitor would call me back over the next few days. When she called back the call went to answerphone so she left a message. I returned her call the following day and my call went to her answerphone. Having left a message I never heard from her again.

Highly recommend this firm. Emma, Karen and Yvonne were so professional, understanding and compassionate throughout our case. The above ladies were always available to discuss our thoughts and gave excellent advice on the choices we had thus making our decisions to move forward in the case much easier to make. We absolutely cant thank you enough!

Had a great experience in dealing with these guys who assisted me in claiming compensation following a cyclist vs car traffic accident. Supriya looked after me throughout who was fantastic, she made every effort to translate all the legal jargon into laymens terms for me which I really appreciated. 5++++++

Leigh Day are the most supportive and helpful group of people, they saw me through a very trying and tough time in my life and were always there with support and encouragement. Their goal all the way was to get the best for me and they did that at their own expense. they advised me correctly and listened carefully to my wishes, even halting processes at one stage because I could not deal with it.

I know a couple of times they were in the news but before that got out they advised their clients about forth coming events and were honest and above board. It's a shame that the people who went to them on one occasion weren't that, which led to them being "told off", but they dealt with it professionally and honorably, scammers try it on with all areas so why should the law system not be also subject to it.

I thank the employees and all the services that work for and with Leigh Day for taking some of the bitterness out of my life and giving me the ability to be in control of an area of my life in which I was totally not in control. They do a tremendous job for down trodden people who really can't get much further down and give them the hope and ability to hold their heads up high again and that is why I can give them 5 stars and if i was in the same place again I would go back to them in a heart beat.

They failed to win my claim and made it impossible to be able to use another lawyers service. Simply I advise not to use their service as they wasted my time, failed the claim and made me unable to get help from another solicitor. Christine Tallon who worked for this firm has now left, Possibly because she failed all the other claims. Such an inadequate service.

Leigh Day are close to my home so I called on my way past to see if I could arrange to speak to a solicitor about a potential case. There's the glass entrance door. I push, I pull. I try the other glass door. No joy. I hear a tinny voice. It's the receptionist who is two feet away on the other side of the glass. She's speaking through the entryphone.

I tug again, hopefully, you know how you do when you can't hear what they're saying, but you imagine it's 'just a moment, I'll let you in.' Still no joy. I pay closer attention to the sound, which is like trying to understand an important announcement from the guard on a train, and it's saying (politely) something on the lines of 'what do you want?'.

Not being used to talking via a bad speakerphone to someone one step away, I say 'If you let me in I can tell you.' I have to bend right down to a low level metal grille to hear and talk - good thing I'm not here about a bad back - and it turns out that I can't be let in because I don't have an appointment. 'That's why I am here', I say, 'to make an appointment.' Now locked in the bent-over position, lips and ears alternately up against the metal grille, dignity beginning to drop off in pieces onto the pavement, I see the receptionist's lips move, and the disembodied voice from several miles away tells me that I have to phone to speak to a solicitor, to make an appointment, to come back, to be let in.

Slowly I scoop up the scattered remains of my dignity and back away, still bowing, partly because I feel that is what Leigh Day would expect of me, and partly because I do now have a back problem. I make the call. Just as an experiment, you understand - because at this point there is no way on god's earth I am going to introduce business to Leigh Day - I ring their number.

A very happy lady answers and when I tell her I would like to make an appointment to speak to a solicitor, she goes away for a long time - long enough for me to straighten up with the aid of a nearby tree trunk - and then tells me, 'that line is going to voicemail' (which you have to admit is impersonal even for voicemail). Anyway, long story short, OK not so short, I ran my own legal practice not ten minutes away for 40 or so years, and I cannot imagine I would ever have such a silly and contemptuous system in place as making people press their faces up against the glass door and shout for appointments.

I probably shouldn't have mentioned being a solicitor because you are now thinking, 'of course, she hurriedly hit the lock button when she saw you coming'. But, no, I think it is for everyone. That's us people, by the way. Perhaps, I am reading too much into first impressions. Perhaps the care and service would be exemplary. But a door shut in your face is a hard first impression to overcome. I think I am going to look for a firm with a nice 'welcome' doormat.
