Martin-Kaye Solicitors

Employed Martin Kaye Solicitors to deal with a simple legal administrative matter that I was advised initially would take a few weeks. The solicitor originally dealing with my case left the firm and the legal assistant who took on my case mislaid much of the paperwork, requiring me to resend specific documents. The matter wasn't concluded until a year later (last month), and that was only after a series of mistakes and me chasing them weekly.

I'm not convinced the legal assistant had any legal training - I say this because on one occasion she asked me to clarify the law for her. They made failed promise after promise and their level of customer service is abysmal. I shan't be using them again and I'd recommend others to steer clear.

I appointed Martin Kaye as conveyancers for a house purchase in 2021, on the advice of the seller's estate agent. What a mistake. I imagine there is a cross-commission opportunity that both the estate agents and Martin Kaye benefit from for promoting each other. My experience has been that they are a lethargic, ambiguous, passive, dismissive solicitors.

More than once they took over 7-days to reply to simple e-mail enquiries, and every time I talked to them it felt like I was starting from scratch. My transaction took 8-weeks longer than it could have, and I attribute 6-weeks to Martin Kaye. I do not believe this is because of the individuals, but more so the general ethics and approach of Martin Kaye.

I have no doubt the team work hard, but clearly the leadership are taking on too many clients, driven by ambition to increase revenue, at the expense of delivering a quality service. I have delayed writing this as the individuals were nice people, but now I need a solicitor again it reminded me how important user reviews are.

Highly recommend, throughout the whole process Karen was always available at the end of the phone and quick to respond to any emails and chase up further down the chain.

I have been dealing with Sana Saddique, she has been very helpful, prompt with communication and great service so far!

DO Not go near this solicitors unless you want to throw money in the bin! Paid 600 for 'advice' after being ripped off by a builder to be told absolutely nothing apart from yes you can instruct another builder to do the property and change the locks! Not even had a write up as the secretary is 'away' upon saying to Tobias so I basically paid 600 for that!

I just got a 'Yes'. I am absolutely appalled at the service and literally feel terrible after having 24,000 stolen from me and now 600! Keep well away unless you have millions in the bank that you just want to flutter away!

Reviewing for a few years back with a personal injury. Alison was great to deal with. Would recommend and nothing says that more than going back with them for selling a house, so hopefully if all goes well, I can give another good review

She has recently taken over my case and has proven to be understanding, knowledgeable and highly competent. If you have family law complications don't hesitate to contact Martin Kaye (and Sana in particular), I highly recommend them.

Without a doubt the worst experience of customer service ever with Family Law department. Solicitor never available. Solicitor let other side dictate whole situation. Solicitor would never chase other side so waited for months to get replies, which is the other sides game plan. Solicitors assistant was main point of contact who could not answer simple legal terms used within letters.

I could go on. Ended up leaving after five months to another firm as in exact same position when legal action started bar 500 down. New solicitor has done more in three weeks than Martin Kaye Telford did within five months. We were asked to raise a complaint with their complaint's consultant. After a little investigation it turns out the complaint's consultant is in fact one of the founding members of Martin Kaye so obviously sided with their incapable Solicitor. Bunch of crooks avoid at all costs. I'd of given zero stars if possible

They were both very friendly and responsive and dealt with our queries efficiently. Their fees were very competitive too. We would not hesitate to use their services in the future and would highly recommend them!

She was happy to answer any questions I had and was extremely compassionate during my meltdowns (there were many).
