Love this place! Family fun for all! Going back once again for the fourth year in a row!

Went for a wedding. Place was ok but a little dated. Needed some work.

Amazing place for wedding ceremonies and receptions. Very quiet and tranquil setting. Receptions are held on a large wooden deck/patio right next to Rice Lake, with a spectacular view. An absolutely perfect backdrop for a wedding and photos. Reception hall is right on site, and adjacent to the ceremony area with a very large room and hardwood dancefloor. Delicious in house beef sausage rolls, caesar salad, roast beef dinner, and cake dessert. And if you're holding a late night poutine bar, the fries, cheese, and gravy is all top notch.

Loved this place. Feels secluded, yet not too far from the city. It's right by Rice lake, with access to kayaks, a lovely trail and other outdoor activity like tennis, badminton etc.

Came here in the winter. It was so charming! Cottage was cozy and well-equipped with a really lovely bath tub. Great view of the lake. We borrowed snowshoes and a sled and had a fun time exploring. The food was yummy. Also enjoyed seeing the farm animals. The only drawback was we were very excited about the sleigh rides but they weren't offering them. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay and would come again. Felt very welcoming.

Didn't meet expectations. My husband and I booked a 2 night stay at this resort. The cottage was very dated and poorly insulated. We were cold and had to make the fire to keep comfortable. They provided 2 fire starters and went we asked for more we were told we had to pay $2 for each one which is ridiculous since we paid over $700 for 2 night stay.

Second time we asked for fire starters we were told by Fran at front desk that she received system warnings for our cottage for extreme heat. When we told her our feet are frozen in this cottage and we are making the fire to keep warm, instead of apologizing or trying to find a solution to make us comfortable, she scold us down and made us feel like we were doing something wrong. Food and spa services were mediocre. Resort is dated and service is not there. Waste of money.

Took the afternoon off and went to the spa with my best friend. Both of us did the "Full Monty". The resort itself was beautiful and the lunch was more than we expected, it was great. The views in the restaurant are also stunning. In saying that, the spa wasn't exactly five stars. We felt a little bit rushed, and unfortunately, my aesthetician wanted to chat through my entire massage, and although she was lovely, it really took away from the experience.

Had a great time in cottage #9 with the family! This cottage w as s recently renovated and we loved it. The resort itself was very nice. Everything was clean and as expected. Staff were very friendly and helpful when needed. We rented a boat for the day and had a good time on the lake too! Highly recommend Elmhirst with the family as there are lots of fun activities too. Axe throwing was a favourite for the kids! Tubing, kayaking and stand up paddle boards were fantastic too. Lots of great times.

We booked a weekend away for our 10 year wedding anniversary. My husband and I got the best Tuina massages from Martina, the spa manager, EVER! The resort is a perfect place to get away. The cottages have everything that you might need. There is a wood burning fireplace and very comfortable beds. The property is beautiful, there are chickens, ducks, horses and cows. There are wonderful walking trails and lots of things to do. We can't wait to go back.

Lovely place for dinner, we were there for a roast beef night. It was served family style and we came away feeling like it wasn't worth the $30 a person. Not a lot of meat for 5 people, and the desserts were pretty cheap & boring. But it was a nice dinner, the food was pretty good, and the service was excellent. I think we probably would have felt like we'd gotten our monies worth if we each had individual dinners as opposed to family style.
