Services
We represent clients daily in our local Sheriff and Justice of the Peace courts in Dumbarton. However, we also regularly represent clients in courts throughout Scotland, and in particular in the High Court. We also have experience of representing service personnel in Courts Martial. I sought support initially from Cairns Brown on recommendation to gain a financial separation and settlement of assets. They offered objective and excellent legal advice informing me fully on what options were available.
Family law covers a variety of matters including Pre-nuptial & Cohabitation Agreements, Separation, Aliment, Divorce, Financial Claims, Parental Rights & Responsibilities, Domestic Interdicts, Child Residence and Contact disputes. We have extensive experience in dealing with all areas of family law and treat each case on an individual basis.
The Children's Hearing system is intended to provide assistance to children and families in Scotland who require support. It is designed to be fairly informal. However, it does have significant legal consequences and we would therefore advise that you seek legal advice as early in the process as you are able to.
We can represent clients in all types of personal injuries cases, whether caused at work, in a public place or even in domestic premises. These might include cases of illnesses or injuries contracted by inadequate working conditions or equipment, falls or slips, road traffic accidents, assaults, or medical (including dental) negligence.
Appointing a Power of Attorney allows you to ensure that someone you trust is able to act on your behalf in the event you are unable to manage your own affairs. We believe that everyone should have a power of attorney as you simply do not know if or when it may be required. Understandably, this is not always possible and therefore there may be occasion where it is necessary to apply for a Guardianship Order. We can take you through the process and discuss the most appropriate options available to you.

Contact my lawyer loads of times and constantly no reply. It was a very urgent matter and was regarding access to my 2 year old daughter. think this should be looked at as people rely on lawyers in these matter. Very upset about this as I put my trust in them and just felt like I was treated like it wasn't important to them. Hopefully company can improve in this as this is people's life's and we need advise and lawyers to fight our corner. Because I felt this way I went a seek legal advice els where. Very saddened bye my experience here!
