I've used Bartons Solicitors twice now for conveyancing. Both times, I've received excellent service - they are quick to respond to questions (no query is too silly or small) and on-the-ball when it comes to moving the process along as rapidly as possible. I often recommend Bartons to friends, as I've been so impressed with their service - I'll certainly continue to use them for any future conveyancing.

Remarkably efficient and very fast. Think I first got in touch in late December, and we had completed by early March. They were very thorough with the seller's solicitors, going to great lengths to look after my own interests. Used Bartons for conveyancing on a somewhat difficult commercial property purchase. Communication was good and when I needed them to act extremely quickly they stepped up and got the purchase over the line. Most of my correspondence was with Anna but Nicola covered a couple of times. Both were excellent and extremely personable. Premises also have best views of any of the Totnes based solicitors with a great pub underneath the offices!

Over the past 27 years we have used Bartons for some eight or nine legal matters. The latest - a lease extension in London via a singularly awkward landlord - was executed with efficiency and speed and a commanding use of the law concerned. No lawyers are cheap, not all are good but few are this good.

From all my experience with lawyers to date, Bartons are top of the list. Emily Brown and Claire Reynolds dealt with the sale of our property which involved some tricky complications. Nothing was a problem for Bartons, with a very impressive response at every hurdle. Friendly, professional, thoughtful.and more, all resulting in a solution at a very reasonable cost.

The attention to detail and mission to resolve seems to apply to many aspects of specialism within the Bartons group. I could go on. Life is definitely better knowing they are to hand!

Our combined sale and purchase were not the most straightforward and Emily Brown and Nicola Edgcombe shone out above the other parties' solicitors by always being available and easy to communicate with. Without their hands-on approach we would have missed the stamp duty deadline and quite possibly the whole transaction would have fallen apart. Their persistence paid off!

We worked with Claire Reynolds on the sale of our mother's property - Claire and her assistant Jayne were fantastic I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. We were quoted a fixed cost which seemed very reasonable and was adhered to without any questions. In the process of the sale they always responded promptly and clearly to any questions from us and requests from the buyer's side.
