There is always a welcome for you at our offices overlooking Parker's Piece in the heart of Cambridge. We are privileged to occupy a unique, listed, late-Georgian building. We have been providing legal services for over a quarter of a century to the staff at Addenbrooke's, the Rosie and the wider Cambridge Biomedical Campus which now includes Astra Zeneca | Medimmune; Cancer Research UK; Glaxo-SmithKline; the Medical Research Council (MRC); the School of Clinical Medicine and the Wellcome Trust. If we obtain your data but it does not lead to formal instructions or a retainer, then this data will be retained for up to 12 months.

As a lawyer if I need professional advice in a personal capacity I always use Barr Ellison to support me. Their service is exemplary. I have recently used Sarah Payne a litigation solicitor. Her advice is always legally sound, robust and pragmatic I always feel that Sarah is on my side but with an eye to delivering the best solution for all parties.
I have also recently instructed Kelly Peck a partner in the property division. Her advice, too, is clear, pragmatic and commercially oriented. With her advice I got the outcome I was hoping for. I cannot recommend Barr Ellison more highly (and often do to friends and colleagues).

Mark Copley handled my case and besides succeeding in obtaining a great settlement for me following my car accident, he has also gone above and beyond to obtain some legal work experience for me - as I am currently studying law. I cannot recommend and thank Karen Anker enough for all she has done for me over the past stressful year. Her professional, empathetic and calm manner, her practical suggestions which meant that my ex-husband and I could sort some things out between ourselves without legal help thus keeping costs down. She had my best interests at heart throughout achieving the best possible financial settlement.
Despite the pandemic, our meetings went to online without any problems. Barr Ellison charges are extremely fair. I have come out of my divorce feeling I have got the settlement I am entitled to.

I have used Barr Ellison several times, most recently for conveyancing on a house. I was purchasing from overseas during a pandemic, so there was plenty of potential for things to go wrong! However, due to the professional, efficient and friendly service from Helen we were well-informed throughout the process and everything went very smoothly. Barr Ellison may not be the absolute cheapest, but we were very happy with the service we received. We will certainly return to them again when we next need solicitors.

I had an excellent experience with Barr Ellison. They were transparent with me on costs from day 1 and everything was very smooth, even when I was slow getting back to them, they weren't bad for chasing me up, they let me just get on with things at my own pace, which I greatly appreciated. They were also very understanding when I eventually chose not to use more of their services because circumstances changed. I would recommend them if you need someone to help you in these matters.
